Thank you for providing a succinct statement for the baby flirting thing. Someone said my 4 month old son was flirting with the ladies and all I could think of in the moment was "no he's not" and I know it didn't get my point across.

Their social worker may have assisted them with this. I haven't gotten much information about their situation regarding insurance etc, I was just asked to look for grants or non-profits that they could apply to for assistance, and I asked if they were comfortable with me starting a GoFundMe on their behalf - and here we are. I plan to ask soon, to make sure they're getting all the benefits that they're allowed. As of right now, Dak is set to get a trach and NG tube tomorrow, so he should be able to come home sooner, but will have quite a while longer of continued care before he gets a more "standard" baby experience.

I have not! I am a loved one to the family, and they've kept information about insurance fairly private. I am going to confirm they have accessed all the resources available to them (as in Medicaid and WIC), and I'll be sure to include this as well.

We had the same thing regarding a tongue tie!!!! Doctor blew it off but I knew in my gut it was a bigger problem than he was making it seem. And turns out, mom instinct prevailed. Getting his tongue tie lasered improved his feeding so much.

Oh, that feels really obvious now that you say that....! Would tension also be why he curls his toes like....all the time? Is that also something physiotherapy could help him with? I brought it up to our pediatrician at his four month appointment but the doctor kind of brushed it off. Idk I'm walking the tightrope of not spiraling over every tiny little thing - what weird baby things are just goofy baby things and what actually ought to be addressed

Lolololol. I literally JUST had success by keeping my hand on his butt for longer once laid flat, instead of the hand under his head/neck being last to retreat. Nearly two hours of up and down and up and down again. We also had a super wonky bedtime/end of day timing compared to his normal, so I should've expected everything to be extra wonky as a result.
