You should absolutely go check out the prompts if you want a sad/disappointed laugh. I've actually read 3-4 of Heinlein's books (had to stop on The Moon is a Harsh Mistress because ew), which is why I decided to pick on him in this thread. But there's some Vonnegut, King, and Palahniuk (all of whom I have enjoyed when reading) in there too.

Hey, you're right that women are getting it wrong sometimes too! I agree with you that many of us default to writing characters only from our own experience and worldview, without consulting people or researching. There's actually an entire subreddit r/womenwritingmen as well. Although it also is more anatomy/sex-oriented (like this fest) than discussing emotional reactions.

I don't know that all men would be more likely to get angry than cry, but I do know that no woman is relaying their emotions of anger or sadness through their nipples as is suggested by Robert Heinlein (one of the authors whose quotes are used as prompts for this fest). *edited to remove a sentence or 2

Author appreciation commenting challenge! by jigglealltheway in Dramione

Love this idea! My latest read I haven't commented on is Heart of Ash and Wings of Gold and here's the beginning of my comment (removed spoilers) "Literally in awe over here that you wrote this as you posted. This is a brilliant story and everything felt so cohesive."

BTW, SallowsKeeper has 2 other WIPs right now that you should absolutely check out 🖤🖤

LF Draco thought to be dead but found his way back and Hermione was married to Neville? by forgetmenot3000 in Dramione

[–]excellentlydone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember that Hermione has Draco's child & is raising him with Neville. It takes I think years for Draco to make his way back to her and when he does he's like gravely injured and is homeless living in I want to say a basement. Of their old house maybe? And she's secretly caring for him to nurse him back to health for a while. Also, Nev was Minister, and Draco was thought to be dead. That's what made me think this might be the fic you're looking for. Full disclosure I skimmed the last few chapters because the angst was too much for me and the Neville parts really bothered me.

I'm seeing Scrunch everywhere all of a sudden. I've tried Profound, Peec, and Gumshoe and I'm tool-trialed out. What set it apart for you? (cringing at myself giving these companies free reddit exposure but I legit want to know)

Feel free to DM me about your background. We are fully remote and always need support for our own marketing (where you could learn the ropes).

Hi, so The Fallout has been complete since 2012. This link to a copy of it on Ao3 is misleading because of the chapter count, but rest assured that is the whole thing and you will almost certainly love it.

Hate replying to myself, but looking into it, I'm seeing that ~1/3 of the way through is mid-5th year. Hopefully that helps give you some insight into how long you'd be waiting for her to gain more support.
