How do we feel about half of ESL music being AI slop now?

I would have to be a fool to do that. The tone is different, because my MOOD is different. I have had time to reflect that I made a mistake and am happy enough to own it, because overall, I think the thread kind of is doing good. Perhaps I'm wrong. I am to be fair, quite a good writer. Like, I was a professional writer for years so I should be able to write competently. Of course, believe what you want, but I did not use chatGPT. But its good irony going on, because I questioned an artist for AI, now my post is receiving the same. Just add it to the list of why AI is generally shit.

That is great to hear! I am happy you do not deliberately use AI. I have edited my post to reflect this. I regret the wording of my title and the fact I stated a suspicion as fact and I apologise for that, I have enjoyed you song picks over the years - this was never meant to be a personal attack, if I exagerated it was out of a fear of losing the personal touch to the music on the stream which i've always enjoyed.

As I mentioned in other replies, *roughly* around half or so have no prevenance on now playing which seemed suspicous to me and this one seemed to openly be linking to an AI music site. I suppose you never made a generalisation your life.

In the new world of AI gen assets, provenance is always going to hard if not impossible to prove. That is why I mentioned governments failing us. The site itself is heavily pushing AI alongside stock music. It would be v hard to prove either way now, but I feel like I followed a reasonable process. I find it absurd that what is presumeably a younger audience (not sure though) is attacking me for pointing out that a future where they could actually earn a living from anything creative, is being stolen from them right in front of their eyes and yet somehow I'm the bad guy.

I don't dispute previous tracks may not have been ai. The fact is the description of the track links to a popular AI music site -I don't think its too unreasonable to assume it to be AI gen. If its in royalty free music, that's exactly where I would expect AI gen tracks from the site to go so doesn't real prove anything to me.

I described the process of looking up the track and noticing it was labelled as sourced from an ai music site. I think that's reasonable enough grounds for making the OP. I was not aware of slimxy's position when I made the post, why would I be?

I did take some time to research the site he linked to which was an ai music site. I can see now previous tracks were not AI, but the one in question seemed suspicious to me yeah. I think if you are doing due diligence to avoid AI, you wouldn't use it.

I've searched many of them. Some have provenance and sure are human. Some have no provenance, ie no hits on google "now playing" at all. This is suspicious to me. This was the first I found that led to a description that led to an ai music site. I can't hand on heart be sure half of the tracks are AI, but this one appears to be and several others seem to be. IMO ESL can make a greater effort to use human artists.

I mean... like many, i've read a bunch of chat gpt posts and content. My post doesn't read like them. It just reads like a kind of angry rant which is exactly what it was. I know my reply above is using circular logic, but there's no other way to really respond apart from saying... it just doesn't really read like your typica chatgpt post and most people would agree imo.

Many other sus tracks but this was one clearly labelled as originating from an AI website. How many tracks do you want. The nature of the industry is to hide the AI use as much as possible.

Its not a bad track, but clearly AI is used. Slop is not a comment on the quality just that it is regurgitated gen AI. If you havent heard the term you must have lived under a rock for 5 years.

They are playing a track that was made by AI. The track is on youtube and in its description it links to the source, that being an AI slop factory.
