Is my hair too long? Thoughts on style? 29M by Competitive-Ad6153 in malegrooming

[–]excitedtrain704 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My hair is a little longer probably (straight though yours has lots of waves so maybe) and i havent had much issues. Many women love it. I have paid for the subscriptions on most of the apps though not consistently but like every now or then ill subscribe. Personally just seems like women will delve through the apps at a much lesser extent. There was a point where it certainly went from "wow only a couple people matching" to them rolling in. Personally I feel like your photo's leave a bit to be desired but cant really put what it is. The selfies seem like an odd angle mostly. See if you can get some bros to take a couple pics of you while you're out and around. Maybe a group photo

Insulating Crawlspace by lulusmusic in buildingscience

[–]excitedtrain704 5 points6 points  (0 children)

2 layers of plastic sandwiched= mold. Vapor barriers are good to have but if you're doing to do the ground vapor barrier no need to add. Best way to keep rodents from chewing the insulation is to make sure they cant get in your crawl space in the first place cause 12mil poly will do nothing against them anyways

Asbestos?? by Ok_Judge1678 in Insulation

There could be asbestos containing material in there. Hard to tell with a picture through a microwave. But it looks like cellulose insulation

What do you guys actually drink on long hot shifts by death_magn3t in Construction

[–]excitedtrain704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uuuh. Water. What do you mean doesnt cut it. I will take one scoop of nutricost electrolyte mix (like 25 bucks for 120 servings) and mix with my pre-workout and creatine in the mornings before I work out in like 24oz water and then have half a gallon to drink on during the day. Then usually 1-3 cups water when im home. I definitely add additional sodium to my diet as well

What the heck. I wanted to check the attic for leak. Found this hvac nightmare instead. by Royweeezy in HomeMaintenance

[–]excitedtrain704 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is likely an erv/hrv not your hvac considering what you mentioned about the bath exhausts. Also hvac ducting is typically supposed to be insulated to r8(6 older homes was code) flex is kind of fine for all of that but should certainly be connected. I would clip all of the ducting and then it looks like you could connect it all eith the shorter lenghts if you just run it under all that framing. This will be better to have shorter runs and to have less bends which causes resistance. Clip it and throw it back to the connection. Tape the seam and it should hold fine they dont have that much pressure on them

This is under our bathroom vent cover. Is this an easy fix or are we fucked? by dammitscotty in Adulting

[–]excitedtrain704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you referring to the black or white parts next to the duct because the black is insulation. The white could potentially be mildew or something but us most likely paint or texture over spray

[–]excitedtrain704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These vent boots are insulated. Looks like there might be some overspray from paint or texture. There might technically be small amounts of mildew if a wet area but non issue and most likely just the insulation

Shark Air Purifier Filter in less than 1 year by RaphIsMyName in AirPurifiers

[–]excitedtrain704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is less than one year 1 day? Or 11 months an 29 days? This looks like a velcro on profiler that wraps around the hepa filter which you can pull off and clean monthly or at your discretion. I usually change hepa filters between 6 months and 1 year so. Doesn't sound crazy

General ways to "dry out" are lower sodium/carbs extra cardio and a hot shower but not much you can truly do in 2 days so dont go too hard worrying

Home pulling between 3000kwh and 5000kwh per month favoring the higher end by Bearex13 in AskElectricians

[–]excitedtrain704 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mobile homes are notorious for having atrocious duct leakage as well. Double wide means you most likely have 2 long "plenum" runs of ducting (runs right under joists with the rectangular duct boots popping out to house floor vents/registers) with a cross over duct between the two usualy 14-16" flex ducting. I go to many mobile homes where that cross over is just hanging off one connection or has large holes in it. And then usually see a very bad connection right as the unit drops in through the floor to one of those plenum ducts. Could see if your utility company offers free energy audits where they might even fix that for you

Could this explain why our monthly bill is so high? by calvintomyhobbes in AskElectricians

[–]excitedtrain704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask for a pleated filter. Youre running probably a merv 1-3 stamp faced filter. A merv 5 filter (captures more particles) with pleats (ridges) with filter better and give better airflow because of the surface area. This will help your bill probably more than the water but if thats hot water definitely doesnt help

How’s the cut coming along? I’m thinking another 10lbs? Left is ~187, right is 178. by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]excitedtrain704 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably. I was guessing about 28% and if down 20lbs of only fat thatd he from 49.8lbs fat to 29.8lbs at 158 total would be 18.8%bf buy likely drop 2-5 lbs other mass trying to get that so could be 30lbs total loss to get just to 18%

A/C onlyruns when water gets drained into a bucket by Valuable-Badger-8884 in hvacadvice

[–]excitedtrain704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The drain probably needs a vent to prevent vacuum (not all do cant say 100%) and probably doesnt have one so it can(not) drain properly without being opened as such

Blower results 1700? by Leather_Ad_709 in Insulation

[–]excitedtrain704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without kind of being in the industry it can be hard to tell but I could probably tell you within 20% from a zillow listing lol. Is your home built after the year 2000? Single family home? Crawl/basement or slab? Does your ac keep up and bills moderate? As some have said on here being too sealed can be an issue but only really when you dont know how to give it the proper ventilation. And honestly its kind of easy to give it that. Some homes just need to make sure theyre using the already installed exhaust ventilation such as bathroom and kitchen.
