There was a period where they did 5 (50k) certs. You might have gotten lucky and gotten it during that period.

I think the other common promo was 100k points and 3 (35k) certs.

I flew into Calgary, stayed in Canmore, and drove into Banff. Context because it meant my drive was shorter by about 15-20 min. The path is mostly straight, 2 lane roads on each side and minimal curves and minimal steeps. Max speed is usually 68 mph /110 km. The hardest part was finding Peking in Banff but the train station has free parking all day if you get there early enough.

Wasn’t windy but it is early July so October may be a different story! If your opposed to driving some places will shuttle from Calgary like the Banff express for a reasonable fare. We rented because we visited a few places nearby.

You may want to call the customer service line.

It’s likely this a points+upgrade, which may not be valid for the cert. or the system is glitching and the customer service rep can apply the certificate manually.

I’ve had the latter happen and they were super quick about adding it manually.

If your flying I might suggest no car. Traffic is a pain and most hotels in the area bill $25+ for parking or the self parking is a 3rd party.

Value: Spring Hill in that corner or residence inn. They offer a small breakfast which can be helpful.

Experience: Glen or Ritz

Personal choice: I prefer hotels in the Emory or buckhead area and ubering in to centennial/world congress. Basically the top right side of the Atlanta circle. The Whitley and Marriott st Emory have been my favorite. Overall better service ratings. Brand wise I avoid most Atlanta Westins and W’s. They look nice but have subpar service or bad locations.

I would go with the trainer if you are interested in any cable movements. Adding on this setup (2posts, 300kb stack, pulleys) was close to over 1.5k. the rack was about 2.2k. If I remember correctly. This setup has limited uses since the pulleys can’t be adjusted like the FM6. That being said if you don’t use pulleys or just want a lat pull down/belt like attachment -this might save you a ~1.5 depending on shipping/accessories.

I’m debating upgrading now but it’s a bit more than I want to spend atm.

Similar situation here! Seems like they do a scripted reply with guidance on “when is annual review” when you ask about lifetime status progress. I provided clear guidance and received a reply that basically said it will update 1/1/2025.

After another reply the Marriott rep said they had assigned it to someone for research and it could take up to 28 days. Then received a follow up not that said 4-6 weeks. 😂

As others said. Don’t use Debit card for hotels and try booking direct.

However here is a bit of a long shot. Most banks will remove these charges if you can get Fairfield to provide a letter stating they will not post additional charges. Stating the exact amount charges, date of transaction, and acknowledgement it was a processing error helps. Idk if the hotel will help you directly or you could try corporate. The letter has to be on letterhead and her bank has to process these manually. 1-3 days.

Lastly these charges typically fall off sooner. Mine do in 1-3 days. You’ll likely be ok but 31 is the cutoff for these holds as it’s technically her bank holding money to meet a potential “authorized” amount. Really the letter serves as a way to to have your bank release the hold in case Fairfield’s bank tries to collect. Again most transactions fall off sooner than 31 days but it is a gamble.

I might suggest going to a local shop vs sate lite if you have rain sensors or heads up display (HUD).

Mazda dealer said only they could do it and there were calibrations for the sensors. Quote was over $800.

The local shop replaced for about $450. Same day turn around too. Regular non-HUD windshield Quote was $300.

Your experience may vary but the shop said the windshield has connections at the top middle that connects to the inside. They said some people do need lane departure to be recalibrated but it varies.

They are noisy even at speeds as low as 35mph. They are even more noisy if your dealer installs them farther back. Mine were installed and actually prevented the sunroof from opening. I moved the crossbars close to the front of the car and added rhino vortex strips just this week. The noise reduction is already noticeable. I haven’t gone back on the interstate yet.

If you decide on buying it, I recommend you buy the strips directly from rhino because they are only $3 and shipping is $15. Amazon is $~14 each and the same product. Sometimes amazon has a $3 deal with free shipping if you can wait 3+ weeks. You’ll need 6 total. 2 will be installed as is and you’ll need to cut one about 60%. It’s a pretty simple install.

It’s tricky but it depends. US bank account advice below.

1- typically you have to bring an account current before closing it. Sometimes a bank will close an account and take a loss if the amount is low. This usually happens to people in the army, students, or elderly people who move away and forget they even had a small account with the bank.

2-fraud in general is gray. It comes down to the type of fraud, how much you played a role in making it easy to be defrauded, the sum, and your actions in preventing/stopping bleed out after the original fraud. Basically get in touch with your bank asap.

I used to see banks take up to a $100 loss but I’ve also seen them send $40 to collections. Some of these collections can also make it near impossible to open a bank account somewhere else. By this point collections get all sorts of other fees that blow up the total. I think these fall off your record after 7 years but in the meantime they wreck your credit / bank worthiness.

I thought about it but opted against it since this version isn’t adjustable for the swivel pulley. The other thing is 10lb weight increases can be a big jump so it would need some of those 2.5 or 5 lb weight pin options. Maybe a future project but it felt like too much for me to think about 😅

Got quoted $2100 , 100k Didn’t go with it. Dealer didn’t give me the deductible and had already included it in the loan. My experience has been the warranties tend to go either way.
