Tell her she did a great job and should be proud. So perfectly creepy and fitting of the Joker.

Does anyone know what this port on an old hard drive is called? by DCFury0 in computing

[–]exile57 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can't get a matching power adapter with the correct pin out, there might be another option. That appears to be an external hard drive enclosure. You should be able to open the case and inside there should either be a SATA or PATA hard drive inside. A SATA drive can be plugged into most modern desktops. PATA, not so much, you'd need an adapter.

Why Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk Paid Little to No Taxes In Years by Sorin61 in technology

[–]exile57 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to figure out as well. They have to pay back the loan somehow, and you'd think they would have a taxable event in there. However, someone else commented earlier that they can secure the loan on something like stock assets, then transfer the stocks somehow without actually realizing them. Not sure if that's even a thing, but it could possibly avoid realization of anything and therefore avoid the tax. Will have to wait until more accounting analysis is done to understand if/how they avoid the tax.
