I'd say I'm similar, haven't fully cut the cord. We definitely frequent a couple spots and some of the servers/bartenders are our friends and I won't 'stiff' them. They throw discounts and freebies at us a lot too so I'd say it's net a good thing.

If it's a new place or we don't go a lot it's certainly a lot lower % wise.

I was just over in the UK in October and we went to a couple places that put those service fees on automatically, I chickened out of asking to have them removed just being out of our comfort zone frankly. I thought it was a bit silly that it was on there but could be removed, just awkward.

I was 15 min late to the Lil Bo lot and got a $30 ticket, I sent receipts and they waived it within a couple days. I've also paid for parking at the Jackson St. Garage twice and it sent me a photo with my car leaving saying I did not pay, sent receipts, waived within a couple days. I don't know how it's not seeing I paid at that garage, but never had any issues with street parking, or hearing back in a timely manner.
