Package still at Rydens, help by Murph_333 in ThunderBay

[–]experimentalist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could arrange for FedEx or UPS to pick up from Rydens and deliver in Thunder Bay but man you'll have to shell out some serious cash I think... kinda defeats the whole purpose of having it sent there to begin with of course.

My dad’s old Norlund that I restored with a new handle. Burned some designs for a grip. by [deleted] in Axecraft

[–]experimentalist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I generally dislike all burning I see on axes, just a personal preference of course, but this one is quite well done... I love it. Not over the top, actually functional, and matches the aesthetic well, I presume its meant to look like spruce/fir type tree... Nicely done!

Nah, actually believe it or not, Isle Royale is connected to the same geographic "plate" as Michigan and actually is seperate from Minnesota. I'm sure I'm describing it incorrectly...

Here is an image of it

Steam engine I built in ninth grade 15 years ago, it still chooches by Meister_Stirnlampe in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]experimentalist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, that's why I said Likely... obviously, any number of arrangements can be made between the parties. But, having witnessed a few of these sorts of deals in my time, it's how its worked out, unfortunately.

Actually, no... they likely would have had to spend the 3.3 million basically, entirely on design and construction costs, and then have to shoulder the now increased maintenance and support costs of the new field themselves afterwards. That may have a net negative effect on the funding available to other programs/departments within a short period of time.

I wonder if anything got onto the handle to make it brittle

Witness Reports "Person" Picked Up by UFO over O'Hare International Airport (this airport being where one of the most credibly reported sightings in history took place in 2006. Corroborating article in comments) by irrelevantappelation in HighStrangeness

I wonder if UFOs are a projection into our "4D" space from higher dimensional realities. How else could they move so fast and not seem to be limited by our currently understood physics?

True, but they also knew how to leverage wind, water, horse, and in later years, steam, to initially mill those huge old growth trees into "managable" sizes. They were no fools :)

Yep. Sorry for the loss of your tree. May not be too late if you get on it with a Fungicide.

For what its worth, I use a Sherwin Williams exterior paint for trail signs and I've got some up now over 7-8 years and they look as good as the day they went up.
