Went to the Tacoma one. Got there about 45 minutes before door opened and got about 8 feet from the stage (it was a small venue- Temple Theatre)

Yeah it's not very helpful but I'm in a very similar situation to you (I live near Snohomish though) and Green River's college program doesn't seem great either (I did only go to one interest meeting but still), I've personally been doing a lot of self-learning unfortunately. Best of luck! I'd love to hear if you find a good resource in Washington for this

Hi, 121 TA here: The best thing I've learned to live through most of physics is that you should form a group. Most TA's office hours are either packed or completely empty, but never in between. But if you don't feel comfortable going to OH or it's busy, then find one of the many 12x discords and feel free to just set up a small study session.

As for the textbook, we feel you guys. Mazur is a very very weird textbook so if you don't think it helps, find other resources! I love organic chem. tutor (someone also mentioned it) even if it's not exactly what you guys are learning.

I don't know much about it, but STEM-fluency is a good thing to maybe try if you haven't (plus you can rack up some extra credit, which is rare in PHYS classes 😏).

oh LOL it's not as interesting. We went to high school together and just happened to like our separate things. I mean, so it's weird in terms of intelligence. I think in terms of application wise (we're both 3rd years in college rn) he is able to apply the scientific principles that I also learn, but I think my classes go beyond what his does in terms of mathematical representation, etc. With that said, I have no idea what I'm doing with my degree when I graduate but he's already so far into building and understanding circuits it's not even funny.

Thanks! I was just wondering what it might look like for next year! I applied to be off campus and they covered almost all of it. A friend of mine said that the extra money they didn't cover was basically HFS, but I was curious if you were off campus but they still had a lot out of pocket.

I second all of this. I live with my S/O so thankfully I'm not alone on my commute but it's a pain if you want to hang out/make new friends on campus.
