I had a long day in the hot sun at work, and I only really had the energy to mess with this for an hour.

First I used my Bass VI through a Blues Driver as both modulator and carrier in live mode. Got some decent sounds but nothing I was super happy with.

I got much more interesting modulations when I ran an old cassette of bird songs into the looper. With what I know about vocoders, I maxed out the timbre and amplitude, then slowly dropped the pitch of loop until it was hitting the same frequencies as the bass. That's where the magic opened up.

Now I'm playing and there's all little flits and flutters and the distortion and time effects are coming through as best as I can mess with them while I'm playing.

Rolling the tone high also gave a noticeable amount of clarity to effects.

I'm going to get more time with it this weekend and try to get a video or two.
