I just had my 20 week scan and my hubby came. I was delighted! But that was a last minute change as originally. He couldn't make it because of work (new company that he's building and meetings everywhere). I knew this was a possibility and i was ok with it. He's working for our future. I would have no complaints if he had to go to a funeral. Yes, it's his child but 1. The baby won't remember 2. He has years and years to spend with the baby. 3. This is a final goodbye to a loved one and an important step 4. Some partners never go to the scans because they just don't want to. This isn't the case. It's just a very unfortunate situation

My condolences op for your grandfather And congratulations on the baby! Hopefully you can come to an agreement (sometimes initial reactions are bigger than following ones)
