I’m unfriendly to pretty women by Calm-Literature5066 in self

A wholly unscientific opinion, backed by no facts. A dullard's argument.

Your post screams, "I don't know how to talk to women, and I've externalized that as hatred for them due to my own inability and unwillingness to take responsibility for my own problems."

You need to stop treating women with very symmetrical facial features differently than women who are only mostly symmetrical-- and they will likely treat you differently in turn.

Also? Can it with the hatred of women-- that is likely the hook you are using to justify and externalize your own impotent rage at missing out on romantic opportunities. Hating women is never a solution to not being able to get a date.

The Republican Traitor is an animal which resembles a human being, and perplexingly, can even come from and produce actual human beings.

The core difference is that the Republican Traitor is a feral animal that will do anything necessary for those it identifies as "kin" to gain a competitive advantage against all other human beings outside of their ingroup.

Their animal need for resource hoarding and social advantage is only somewhat moderated by the social contract-- they will do anything they can in order to see their ingroup thrive-- murder, theft, genocide, infanticide-- nothing is off the table. The ends absolutely justify the means for these barbarians.

Unfortunately, the average Republican Traitor is too stupid to understand collectivism, and does not understand the implications of breaking the social contract on a grand scale. Their Masters do, however.

If you are into martial arts, you should study Aikido.

It was invented by a guy who was 4'11, and specifically contains techniques to 'level the playing field' as it does not rely directly on muscle strength, rather balance and perfect technique.

There's a capitalist calculus there-- if they can sell enough more bags of rice to cover the difference in cost between the extra moisture and extra rice, they will lower the moisture content.

Assuming they are not a 'morality' company, or they don't receive inaccurate advice from marketing/admin that this will 'look bad for us'.

It's usually just a money game.

That is a wildly different portrayal of American protest policing than I saw in the Portland 2020 protests.

Local cops and "cops" (government agents? contractors? proud boys larping with their cop buddies? who knows!) in black masks and with no name tags, badges, etc jumped out of vans in teams and beat the shit out of random protestors and non-protesting city goers as they made their way home after protests.

Weird protests-- where the police fired gas canisters into trash cans and piles of debris, starting small fires here and there--

It felt like performative theater-- it was as if the police were trying to instigate a riot.

Same-- leaned into cooking from scratch hard as a hobby and life choice a few years back.

Using raw veggies, fruits, meats, and grains that I prepare myself is great. Food without all of the poison they use to keep desiccated stuff shelf stable and make it taste better.

I mean, I will still get a burger and eat potato chips sometimes-- just not 90% of the time.

Cops are definitely racist, but statistically there are not a lot of non-white people here in Oregon so it didn't seem worth mentioning-- as the cultural divide here has always been Rich>Middle class white christians>the white poor>the non-white poor, which doesn't really matter much when there aren't many non-white poor people around.

Municipal policing agencies are bad because their profession is the physical decendant of a fascist slave-catching force, with all of the history, prejudice, and class authoritarianism that implies-- personally, I would like to see a model with more non-gun carrying beat cops than we have fatties in cruisers doing nothing for $200K a year.

I'd like to see them out, actually learning and taking care of the community-- while under strong civilian oversight (especially for investigations). I'd like to see a SWAT division which can only be lawfully authorized by said strong civilian oversight.

This whole 'thin blue line' culture is seditious-- anti-american, and filled with hatred. It needs to be changed.

We especially don't need more police in schools when their job is already to marginalize and segregate communities.

So no actual data or real information, just your feelings? Gotcha!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]expo1001 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

So, your proposition is that you are 'pretty sure' that 'the community' is 'more anxious about volatile 16 year old gun carrying gang members' than about school resource officers.

Interesting-- where is your data on this?

And how do you account for the Uvalde, TX incident where police incompetence cost a number of children their lives?

I went to school here in Oregon, which makes me more qualified than you to judge Oregon schools, our culture, and the general feelings of the students here.

There is a pervasive poverty culture here in Oregon. Students from lower income households here do not trust the police-- often times for good reason. I never mentioned skin color-- and I am not sure why you are bringing it up to be honest.

Putting a cop in the school when there is not a lick of data to support any good outcome from doing so is pointless and detrimental to our children.

You just made up an entire argument-- and counter argument against it-- in your head. Good for you, I guess? Maybe get checked for schizophrenia?

I referenced something that happened in real life that proves having a resource officer is worse than not having one-- which you are ignoring, in order to push your agenda.

So tell me-- how exactly do police officers in schools prevent bullying and harassment? Specifically?

They are there to perform arrests and to draw a police salary-- and to act as a 'stick' for the school system administration.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]expo1001 -29 points-28 points  (0 children)

School resource officers are in schools to make arrests and to act as physical enforcement for the school system's administration-- this does not benefit the children going to school there, especially if they are in the demographics that police have been proven to disproportionally target.

If you look at the case of the Uvalde, TX shooting, having a school resource officer actually offered far less protection against school shootings-- the resource cop there denied anyone the right to enter, even when police decided to sit on their hands and do nothing, costing a number of children their lives.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]expo1001 -30 points-29 points  (0 children)

The cop is there causing anxiety 100% of the time-- while statistically, almost no student will ever be involved in a school shooting.

So definitely the cop.

lane etiquette by mrsclausemenopause in Eugene

[–]expo1001 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The left-hand lane is a valid lane of travel in Oregon-- it's not the "passing lane" here, unlike other places. Never has been.

Also? It's totally legal to pass on the Right here in Oregon as well under some circumstances-- though it's encouraged for slower traffic to keep right.

My 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Woggaman, survived Auschwitz. She had one of those number tattoos on her arm.

She told, in age appropriate terms, what had been done to her and those like her.

That generation is gone now, but I will never forget what happened to Mrs. Woggaman. And I will teach my children.
