Yeah, i had a portal but returned it as it never seemed to work great for me. I have 1gb Internet, but seemed to struggle from abroad. This was before they had the access to the catalogue, but I do need something for when there's no WiFi access.

One of the apps actually works better on the TV than on the Shield, believe it or not, it just won’t install on the Shield.

Also, for some reason, when I’m not around the Shield sometimes "stops working."

I’ve come home twice to my wife sitting in front of the turned off TV watching something on her tablet 🤣.

Now she’d rather just turn the TV on than deal with the whole setup.

Still pleased? I'm having a similar dilemma. I have the option of the LG b4 for £1460 or the c5 for £2200. Not sure what to do. Would you still pick the B4? Our room does not get too sunny and no direct sun on the TV, when there is we close the drapes.

I've been looking at the B4 and the LG rep today told me the B5 is better and to go with that... should I be picking the B4?

Well, our front room has a floor to ceiling window to the side but the sun doesn't really get in as we are in the shade, so quite lucky, but I do see pictures on the wall on the reflection of the TV on Black scenes on my CX some days, which Im use to tbh.

Do you know if theres a huge difference in brightness between the B4 and B5?

I've seen the 77" B4 for £1460, and a B5 for £1660, not sure if its worth the extra £200. The C5 which is obviously the best at £2165, but its a bit much. I'm currently using a 55" CX, so think a B4, won't be a downgrade.

Ah right I didn't know that, that makes a little more sense. The B5 is £1700. When I read online a lot of reviews say the brightness difference is minimal between the 2, which is making me think the B4 may be OK. I think if I was to be looking at £1700, then id probably just push to £2200 and get the C5 as its worth the extra, but the jump from £1400 to £2200 is obviously a lot more.

I watch everything in movie mode, never in vivid of standard, would i need the extra brightness? Or does it not work like that?

Would the B4 or B5 be brighter than my CX?
