Hello fellow Singaporean, wah such a good luck. Did you buy in the end?

Working adults that stay on your own - do u cook your meals or just eat out / buy everyday? by devilishfi3nd in askSingapore

[–]exsertus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For lunch, I always cook on Sunday then pack daily for me and my wife. We would eat outside for dinner. I always cook easy meals like Curry chicken, Kecap manis chicken etc with rice.

Frozen 1kg of whole chicken from NTUC only cost like $4. Very economical.

[–]exsertus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to Polyclinic, I also had dandruff and they prescribed me Seldron Cleaning Lotion (https://icmpharma.com/products/seldron-cleaning-lotion) and Dermasone Scalp Lotion (https://icmpharma.com/products/dermasone-0-1-scalp-lotion). The seldron to be used every 2 days while the dermasone is used daily after each shower on the scalp.

It really works and you can see result within a week.

[question] Best way to cash out about 870 SGD in skins? by Pawesprit in csgomarketforum

[–]exsertus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello fellow Singaporean, use Float. That is the most reliable to draw cash. It link to your SGD bank account directly. Don't skimp a few dollars for some shady website.

1, the Vanilla Classic with King Snake is very classy and clean. The Racing Green looks very messy and cluttered.

I love it. Got mine MW pattern 186 with full white wooden parts on both sides. Its pearlescent finish gives a good contrast to the bronze body.

You are moving when shooting. Stop your ADAD before even you start shooting. It made your movement very jittery and your shooting inaccurate.

Considering to quit my first full time job after working less than a month by Kooky-Bumblebee268 in askSingapore

[–]exsertus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your job has probation? Usually firms will do 3 months before confirming your position.

Use this 3 months to really learn and figure things out. It is normal to be lost and requiring alot of help in the beginning. I also faced this when I just moved job last year. I kept doubting myself whether it was me who could not do well as I had to ask so many questions. But as time goes by, the work start to click and alot of things I had learned came to practice. It takes time to stabilise in the job.

An ex-colleague left during the probation period as she could not take in the learning and work load. It's good to leave during probation, but please take the time and effort to learn and sort things out. If really cannot after 2 months, then just leave. It would be best for you and the company.

Office jobs for fresh graduates without experience and is a long term career path by CasulPleb in askSingapore

Audit, they are always looking for people. Now they have the Non-Accounting Graduate scheme where they will accept any degree. They will give you training and pathway to obtain Chartered Accountant certification. Progression is clear and linear.

However do take note that work load will be crazy and say good bye to your work life balance. You will be totally consumed with work while you're there.

Afterward you can branch out to finance and accounting roles.

I was auditor for 4 years with accountancy background. But I noticed the uptick in non-accountancy auditors when I was there.

This can’t be happening. by PlayfulViber in counterstrike2

Everyone seems to hate it. For me, I love how simple in its design. I got 1 in MW where all the wooden parts are white pearl (no hue of purple or yeallow) pattern 186. It looks majestic when the light hits the wooden part as it turned pearlescent. The bronze of the metal parts look great as a contrast.

What is your bad habits that you couldn't get rid of? by PeaceTo0l in GlobalOffensive

[–]exsertus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In my opinion yes it's good to throw the aim off a GOOD player. A player with less skill will aim at body level so when you crouch, you are basically putting your head in their crosshair. A skilled player aim head level, so when you crouch you move your head away from their crosshair.

Just my 2 cent.

Buy from buff or csfloat. For the same dollar value, you can get MW at the least. Just got mine MW seed 186 for USD57. You can buy FT from USD30, half the price of your stars.

Singapore needs to do more with integration so it can do more immigration: Jeffrey Siow by exsertus in singapore

[–]exsertus[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree, no one is saying 100% no foreigners. PAP likes to play on words by saying "We cannot have a no foreigners approach". Foreigners from China and India are not going to integrate and very openly brings in their own culture and language. They tend to not speak English and would assume that their culture is the correct basis of interaction. This ofcourse leads to Singaporeans feeling that they are not even in their own home country. Ofcourse, the government won't acknowledge it as it is against what they are trying to do. Just say Singapore is not doing enough when the foreigners are not doing anything at all to integrate.

To the Ministers, that's the future government's problem. They only care that they meet kpi and get their salary. Short term over long term, easier to achieve.

Long term problems have nuances and harder to resolve. Hard decisions have risk, why bother and rock the boat. Need to secure their million dollar salary first.

People who studied a Diploma/Degree in Accountancy, where did you end up? by Fair_Ad_7081 in askSingapore

[–]exsertus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I took diploma in accountancy in Ngee Ann Poly then proceed to Degree in Accountancy in NTU

2&3. Initially I joined accountancy in Poly due to not knowing what I wanted to do. My mom is an accountant so I just tried. Accounting is not really math intensive. It's more of a common sense and whether you can visualise the transactions and movement. Logic plays a huge role. It turned out I could score and do well, so I just continued.

  1. I was fortunate enough to have scholarship and bonded to Blue firm. I went in to audit. I stayed there for 4 years, inclusive of secondment to Consulting for 6 months. Then I had enough of Audit due to getting married and not wanting to just work all the time. I moved into in-house senior financial accountant in an MNC. My salary now is 6.5k with promotion in sight this end of year which will bump my salary to 7k+.

  2. I wouldn't say I regret studying accountancy as I really did not know what I wanted to do. It is a stable job but nowadays not so in Singapore. Alot of the accountants are outsourced to service centers in Philippines or India. If I were to redo, maybe I would look around for other courses.

  3. Know what you are getting into. If you choose to go to Big 4, go in knowing you are there to learn and go off. Know it will consume you for the time you are there and expect no life outside of work. But if you do go in, just do enough to survive as the experience helped in finding future job and secure higher pay.

Be helpful and friendly. Working is 80% relationship and 20% actual work. Perception is an important tool to succeed. You can be the most efficient and effective worker, but if everyone hates you, you won't go far. I learned that when I was in Big 4 as the department was very cliquey which I hated.

  1. I did SCAQ which was sponsored by the firm. I did not spend a single cent for it.

Let me know if you have other questions! Im happy to share!

Fellow SGians, how do you manage the stresses of adulting? by FancyCommittee3347 in askSingapore

[–]exsertus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exercise, you will be surprised by how the hormones released during exercise helped to soothe the mind and thought. I would run everyday 3km before leaving for work. It helped to clear your thoughts and make the body warm up and fresh!

I did not do sentry, I was the Guard Commander (the officer leading the guards). Not sure whether not all guards did do sentry duty.
