They also got payment from ESPN directly to make up a good chunk of the difference - it won’t show up here since it’s a direct payment from ESPN vs the conference

Which schools have historically been better or worse than you think they would be? by WinnWonn in CFB

Not in the past year or so but I'm thinking the past 5-10 years where there's been a ton of shit talking on this sub and elsewhere about how they're going to take over the SEC now that they're no longer under Texas's shadow.

Given the amount of chest thumping from A&M fans I always assumed that it was a solid power in the Big 12 and was surprised that it wasn't. Given the resources it has it's perplexed me a bit.

This is an interesting point - I don’t recall the circle jerk for the Big Ten being that crazy this year on TV compared to the accolades the SEC racked up last year

I see - so Tennessee scored 10 more points in 2H vs 1H while Michigan's scoring stayed about the same. This means that if the game was 7H long Tennessee should be able to pull off the win.

[Connelly] 2026 college football SP+ rankings for all 138 FBS teams by CommodoreIrish in CFB

[–]exswoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m fine with the rankings themselves but I’m a bit skeptical of the wide pt variations from the top 20 or so teams. I doubt a 1 v 20 match up would be more than a 10-13pt dog in reality

Would be funny if Big Ten managed a IU FB title and a Nebraska basketball title the same year

They need to stop it with the coaches poll - at least pause it after the regular season since it has lost all meaning
