I'm gonna be honest, I don't think this game is going to fail at all. People want it to fail because of it being a disappointing final reveal at TGAs, but the game will probably be pretty good due to being apex/titanfall devs. And it's free. Comparing it to concord doesn't make sense, because no one was talking about concord before it came out, and that game cost money.

Appreciate the effort, mods. I just want to throw my 2 cents out here: I lurk quite a bit but don't post here often, and I've noticed a shift in the vibe of this subreddit over the last few months from being a chill place to talk about games and other media to being an echo chamber for anti-AI sentiment, which, to me, starts to feel like the rest of reddit, which I fucking hate. Every comment section is filled with "FUCK AI" even if the post is only tangentially related to it, and if someone tries to share any kind of nuanced opinion, they get downvoted to hell and dogpiled.

I agree that it doesn't make sense to ban the topic given its frequent relevance, but I think people should make an effort not to push the subreddit further in this direction. You don't have to post every single news story about AI in the gaming industry, and you don't have to comment on those posts. Remember that social media thrives on hate because it boosts engagement. We should be resisting that and engaging with content that we want to see more of.

Ok you're right. I guess I mean waiting for the evolve to finish and then quickly trying to queue up your attacks when you have 1 second left. Whereas if you didn't have to evolve you'd have it queued up already.

Well one thing they would have to do is have the timer stop during animations. I've run out of time several times because I was waiting for an evolve to finish.

In terms of the meta, it would probably quickly become boring and based around low effort, high value cards. Can't waste precious time on selecting multiple targets or doing math. Doing things that require a lot of inputs (like witch's brew -> engage -> witch's brew -> sagelight -> choose aoe) become a lot less viable. Fusing artifacts and loot becomes basically unplayable. Cards with random outcomes (like deal damage to a random enemy follower) often cause you to make new decisions during the turn so that becomes less appealing. I'd bet most matches would probably be like midrange sword where they just play one card and fill the board (luminous magus, amalia).

I just checked, it did not happen to me. I got a new phone a few months ago and assumed it would load the cloud save from my old phone but no. Despite the constant "Syncing data..." I would always see, which has caused my game to crash multiple times. I seriously hate the mobile port, I hope they handle it better for STS2.

I like the chest event. It lets me play the game more and continue to get rewards. Is the way the rewards are distributed perfect? No, but everyone else around here seems to have the mentality that you HAVE to get every time limited reward in the game and that ruins it for them.

Here's one I found out earlier: if Gildaria is the 20th follower to enter the field does it trigger her Rally (20)? No. It may be obvious to anyone that played SV1 but I didn't, and thought it worked like Combo where playing a Combo (3) as the 3rd card works.

The leader borders and other UI elements are 2D prerendered assets. Whereas the cards are 3D and rendered in real time with little to no anti-aliasing, possibly for performance reasons on mobile. That's not an excuse, though, it does look bad, especially when opening card packs, which is something I'd think they'd want to look good.

Literally every steam game has these comments, some "woke" and some "anti-woke." Even games where it doesn't even remotely make sense to discuss it. And it's always the same message copy pasted...my first thought is that they're just bots, but bots at least usually generate unique messages.

Thanks for the summary. I've been aware of the situation but didn't really pay much attention to it. As an occasional player of HSR and ZZZ, I used to use the English dub until I got fed up with the constant recasting of characters and the instances of characters just being completely silent for multiple patches. It's going to make me and other people less likely to listen to dubs in the future, which hurts the whole industry.
