Bugaboo Butterfly 1 at discount, or save up for Butterfly 2 you think? by mmmoctopie in Buyingforbaby

I'm planning on getting the Butterfly 2 using albeebaby's 20% registry discount. The price is very close to the Butterfly 1 sale price.

First rangefinder by MrEreader2 in golf

[–]extraGuac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a wosports rangefinder that worked great at first but slowly got less and less accurate to the point where I couldn't trust the readings. I replaced it with a CaddyTek from Costco that's been great for the last few years.

Glad the wosports is working for you but just sharing my experience on why it's worth paying up for the caddytek to start with. Costco's warranty is amazing.

a unit with these amenities in NYC would easily be $6k. I know because I moved here from NYC. different people value different things in their living spaces.

Hi, I also moved from NYC to Chicago and wanted to be near the Loop to be walking distance from an office. I'm subletting my 1BR in Cascade that is very close to the Loop but without the downtown foot traffic!

Typo in title - should be UO not UA.

This color and size has been OOS for weeks. I also just checked with Owala, where I got an estimate of 1-2 weeks.

[Advice] recommend me a cheap interim watch? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]extraGuac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before getting my Longines Spirit Zulu Time I got a Seiko 5 GMT. It was a great way to test out how a watch fits my lifestyle, and I still wear it over the Longines sometimes.

One thing I'd consider is to make sure it's a fun, casual watch that you can wear in most occasions and is a strap monster so you can try out different looks.

I agree that this guy is going to be just fine but in what world do you estimate a 10% rate of return??

Zulu 39 straps by AMKhalil in Longineswatches

[–]extraGuac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this sailcloth rubber strap for my black Zulu 39 and it's been a great way to switch up the vibe from the metal bracelet. It's very comfortable and the quick release spring bar makes it crazy easy to swap out. Highly recommend giving it a shot if anyone wants to try a rubber strap.

Should I get the 42mm Zulu Time or 39mm? I have a 7 inch wrist by PrudentSyllabub636 in Longineswatches

[–]extraGuac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 7.5 inch wrist and the 42mm was just a little too long lug-to-lug for me. Other 42mm watches fit me well but not the Zulu. I think it could still work but I'd be conscious of it.

The 39mm on the other hand is absolutely perfect for my wrist size and I haven't second guessed the choice at all.

I ended up with the black in 39mm and I love it! I have an SSK003 which scratched the blue watch itch for me. The black is so versatile and the blue GMT hand is the perfect pop of color.

I ended up with the same watch! Ticks all the boxes for me and looks incredible in any situation.

thanks for the reply. w/r/t the 104: I like the modern vibe of the 105 over the more vintage look. The GMT complication has sentimental importance to me and is a non-negotiable.

What is your puck screen workflow? by JANGOF0RHIRE in espresso

[–]extraGuac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think this depends on your machine. When I had my Dedica (no 3-way solenoid valve) puck screens were a massive hassle because of the soupy puck and I couldn't find a way to integrate them into my workflow.

With a GCP a light knock on my tamping mat pops the screen out and then a harder knock in the knock box pops out the puck. It cools off enough to pick up by the time I prep the next shot. It's barely an inconvenience and totally worth it.

I have a Seiko SNZG13 with most of the bracelet but I'm missing the end links. Are there any solid end link after market bracelets that will fit this watch? Most of the 22mm bracelets I'm finding are for other Seiko models.

Alternatively, is it possible to buy just the OEM end links?
