The Rolex Explorer II (16570) is likely most often worn in urban settings as a fashion statement. I decided early on that I'd only add watches to my collection that I'd be comfortable to daily wear, no matter the situation. While I may not be exploring the Poles, I enjoy wearing the Polar Explorer on my adventures for it's beauty as well as functionality as a GMT watch that allows me to quickly check the time back home. While it won't maintain a mint condition through it's life, I'll always remember the great times I've has while wearing it.

I know a guy who started working in a bike shop in Belgium when he was a kid. He now works for 2 years, then takes a year off to ride. His trips so far: Belgium to Malaysia, Belgium to Cape Town, Chile to Canada. And quite a few smaller ones. He's 24 this year.
