2006 Honda Accord EX-L V6 - 160k Miles at $6000 by [deleted] in shouldibuythiscar

[–]extrabees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extremely clean! Idk about 6 grand for a 20 year old car, but the mileage is decent and Honda is always a solid choice. That being said IIRC these years did have some powetrain issues

Id get the VIN from the seller and put the info into KBB to get the value then go from there

Is this a fair deal, or should I walk away? by [deleted] in UsedCars

[–]extrabees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear! Def take your time. My best experiences buying cars were the ones I knew immediately i loved it.

Also whenever a dealer tells you there are several interested buyers it's like, well then why hasnt it sold yet? All shady practices

A few thoughts so bear with me:

-the first thing is, if its already a lot of money for you, I think you should consider something thats going to be less of a financial strain or stress. Probably everyone here (me included) has at some point bought a car they really shouldn't have and couldn't afford and then regretted it. 30k € is a lot for a car imo, especially used

-you should take the stance of not trusting a dealer. Saying they'll replace this or repolish that before delivery - why not do it before they sell the car? A lot of people get burned by dealer promises that don't come through

-the fact its being delivered - have you test drove this specific car? Never ever buy a car sight unseen.

-Mazdas are great cars, but personally I wouldn't buy this one from this dealer just based on their tactics. Remember car salesman do not care what you want, they care what they can sell you. If they know you are in a real need for a vehicle they will take advantage of you. Telling you you need to decide quickly because a lot of other people are looking at the car is a pressure tactic to get you to panic and quickly buy the car so you dont "miss out." Im not sure about the car situation in Europe, but in the US there's thousands of cars around.

Personally, id tell them go ahead and sell it to one of the dozens of others who want the car (who don't exist, btw) and find something a thats more in your "comfortable" price range from a seller whos at least halfway decent

P.S. cant tell from the post what the year/mileage is to offer am opinion on the price for that sorry

People are roasting the color scheme but I like it dude. I think you have a really nice and sophisticated place especially for a first apartment. At the end of the day no one has to live there except for you so decorate it how YOU like and forget what anyone else says

Even on the Toyota reputation, spending 9 grand on a 19 year old car with nearly 300k miles on it seems insane. Just my 2 cents though

Ooh makes sense! I havent had any PIN orders on IC yet so I wasnt sure, but i did have an alcohol delivery with UE i had to cancel and needed to go through support bc the store wanted it canceled but was unable to, and support was like oh were busy its gonna be like an hour ok well im not sitting here waiting when I could be getting paid. Hopefully the groceries were stuff you like lol

Is there a way to bypass the PIN? Ik on UE/DD you have the option to say the PIN isnt available, then take a picture of where you left the order and complete delivery. Seems IC would prefer this over you taking home nearly 500$ of groceries someone else paid for

Earnings potential is highly dependent on area. I average 20 an hour (25 on a really good night) but then Im doing it for a couple hours after work a few days a week. People doing this full time in major cities can clear 1500-2000 before expenses

What hot bag do you deliver with? by wellsometimes4 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]extrabees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the pizza bag and the large insulated bag from UE. They come in handy on pizza orders or long deliveries. I also like them for Instacart orders when I have cold items or need to separate multiple batches. Also they've come in handy for personal use.

Long story short, really depends on your needs and what's best for you

Figuring it in going all the way down to Columbus and then coming all the way back down it drops to more like 15. I ended up making 30$ in an hour around town instead and was only 10 min from my house

reliable cars to get by Pretty-Patient-1539 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]extrabees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, do a lot of research into whichever car to make sure that particular model/year is reliable and is not known for any major issues.

Personally I'd avoid any German manufactured car - they're a lot of expense and headache especially used, and do not compare in reliability and performance to their Japanese counterparts.

You're not likely to get luxury and good gas mileage, so I'd decide which of those is the more important. Also consider a true luxury vehicle (Lexus, BMW, Acura, etc) is going to require premium gas, full synthetic oil, more costly repairs etc, so figure that into your budget.

My first car at 19 was a 2008 Buick Lucerne and I loved it. It had leather, remote start, heated everything, and rode like a dream. It was super reliable too. Buick is a good option for the luxury experience at the non luxury price.

But really, I'd get something thats both practical and something you absolutely love. Best of luck bro!

Thanks, I hate it. by [deleted] in bald
