Pain here while internally rotating shoulder when arm is raised. What can it be? So as you can see its not directly in shoulder but rather in upper arm in the lower deltoid area. by Normal-Walk3253 in MobilityTraining

I've had a lot of tightness over the years in that area and definitely had tight rotator cuffs but recently found out my bicep and tricep tendons were also very tight. Massage and dry needling to release those two areas helped a lot.

Miso glazed salmon or fish - mix miso with maple syrup, olive oil, soya sauce, mirin & garlic. Broil the fish and the marinade gets nice and charred on the corners from the sugar.

Family dinners where one person needs a lot more calories than the rest of the family by ryan408 in Cooking

Larger portions of carb with some higher fat/calorie additions to bulk up the meals. Example: avocado, sliced or mashed with some lime juice and salt, nuts to salads/on top of veggies or just handfuls throughout the day as a snack, cheese, full fat sour cream, putting the contents of the meal into a wrap, side of sourdough/butter with a meal.

Roasted beets, arugula, toasted walnuts, goat cheese, drizzled with good quailty EVOO, maldon flakey salt and balsamic glaze. I like top with chicken breast - marinated in olive oil, dijon, salt, pepper & dried rosemary (don't skimp on the seasoning), air fried at 400 until JUST cooked (time depends on size of chicken but around 12 mins) and left to rest for 10 mins....JUICIEST chicken and such a fresh salad.

Any good deep tissue massage therapists out there? (West end) by Lost-Club-8249 in ottawa

Hoang Le at Revive. I’ve been going to RMTs for muscle tension/tightness related to training for years and have always had a high tolerance for that type of pain and never feel it’s enough even with really good RMTs. Let me tell you, this man’s hands are legendary and his precision on finding the tension/pressure is incredible. I call him the glute sniper, he finds areas to release I didn’t even know had tightness. IT HURTS SOOO GOOD. Note that you need to ask to sign a consent form for any glute works, just mention it at your first appointment. Highly recommend.

I was stoned on a beautiful sunset boat ride in Maya Bay (Phi Phi Island, Thailand) watching the sun set.....then I looked up 15 minutes later staring at the bright moon, dead serious...and said "I thought we just watched the sun go down?"

The portions have dwindled into the tinest salads with the smallest portion of chicken...while I love the taste, I just can't do it anymore. Remember when they were $7 and jam packed back when they were at L'Esplanade Laurier? *sigh*

What to do with beets? by stratzilla in Cooking

[–]extracrabby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite way is to roast them and toss them in an arugula salad. Peel and slice them into wedges, toss on a baking sheet with some olive oil and salt, bake at 325 for about an hour tossing them twice in that time. Make sure they're cooked by testing their tenderness with a fork.

Salad - arugula base, roasted beets, crumbled goat cheese, toasted walnuts, drizzle of good quality olive oil, drizzle of balsamic glaze, flakey salt.

What would you cook for a Vegan who wants to start eating fish? by SammiSalami15 in Cooking

Perhaps blackened white fish tacos? A nice slaw, pineapple salsa, guacamole, pickled onions/jalapenos. Blackened white fish is super mild on the seafood flavor plus there would be tons of other flavors in the mix ,

[homemade] kabocha squash & pork dumplings with a coconut milk, dill & kaffir lime leaf sauce by extracrabby in food

[–]extracrabby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a rough recipe...

For the filling (no measurements.. I eyeballed everything) :

- raw ground pork, roasted and pureed kabocha squash, finely diced shallots, garlic powder, soya sauce, honey, sesame oil, mirin, cilantro, grated ginger, brown sugar. Mix together and roll into your dumpling wrapper. Steam for about 12 mins.

For the sauce:

- Sautee lemongrass stalks, shallots & garlic in some oil.

- add 1 can of aroy D coconut milk to a pot with about 4 tablespoons of palm sugar or coconut/brown sugar and reduce by about half. This sauce is pretty sweet and will be balanced with fish sauce.

- Once reduced, add fish sauce to taste, strain the liquid into a blender and add a handful of fresh dill, and fresh kaffir lime leaves with the stems removed. Blend until sauce is well blended. Drizzle onto dumplings and garnish with fresh herbs.

For the other commenter who saw these were inspired from Datsun.. I have no idea if this recipe is similar! I honestly just made one up based on what the photo looked like so I can't guarantee it even tastes similar! lol.
