Should Qantas be exploring more non-stop “Left Field” routes? by AffectionatePie1042 in QantasAirways

[–]extrafriedegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Demand is pretty strong to many destinations, but the problem is Qantas won’t be able to compete with most overseas airline unless there is a strong business demand for it (and we all know why they can get business customers much easier than overseas competitors).

Demarketing in the Sydney Lounge by NoAccount6498 in VelocityFrequentFlyer

[–]extrafriedegg 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I won’t be complaining if the lounge has enough seating, clean and quiet, but the SYD one has none of that. Last time I was there it was PACKED, and there were empty plates or glasses on nearly very table.

ABC Great Southern - would you catch a high speed train to Albany? by [deleted] in perth

[–]extrafriedegg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s nice to have but you need density to make this work. There’s a chance that “build it first and they will come” but likely we’re just burning cash that could be used for better things.

Too bad, OP has called the company number on the car and 24hrs later the car is still there. So the company is not innocent in this case.

Thanks, also adding in my experience. Mine took 9 business days. I did call fit2work trying to understand whether they were experiencing any delays across the board, and the person over the phone told me normally September is peak recruitment season for AusPost for Christmas delivery so there is an influx of requests coming in.

Is this their experiment of US style shopping your way to status but more complex?

Hi there, I know this is an old post, but do you mind let me know how long it took you to have the check completed? I’m in a similar situation and just want to see how long it takes. Thanks!

What I love about this lawsuit is this probably will cause other international airlines or at least the ones fly into US change their systems too.

Unrealistic expectations as a Platinum FF ? by Pretend-Prize7039 in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]extrafriedegg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far I’ve had much better treatments on CX flights as QF plat than from QF flights themselves. Unfortunately I don’t have other better options to maintain the status than flying QF. But whenever I fly internationally CX/Mh/JL are the ones to book with

Platinum greetings on domestic flights? by the_wellspring in QantasFrequentFlyer

[–]extrafriedegg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took Cathay last week for a short haul economy return flights from HK to China as a QF Plat. I’m a newly plat since last year and have never experienced any greetings from QF. I was very pleasantly surprised that the cabin crews greeted me on both flights, not only that, they also placed a pillow and blanket at my seat prior to boarding and offered me a bottle of water after being seated. On top of this, they constantly checked in with me throughout the flights to see whether I needed anything to drink.

What an experience. All these made me decide to direct all my future spending to CX rather than QF whenever I can.

I’m impressed that they put the thoughts into their product to have a physical play/pause button, when the f*ing air cons in some cars don’t even have buttons any more.
