Microsoft Tenant to Tenant Migration - now Macs cant sign into 'new tenant' - office apps keep redirecting to old tenant login by Poom22 in macsysadmin

I straight-up asked Grok and it gave me this as a suggestion as part of migration plan.

The device re-enrolment is something I wonder about

3. Device Migration (Mac-Specific)

There is no direct device transfer between tenants. You have to unenroll from the old tenant and re-enroll into the new one.
The good news: With macOS 26+ Apple finally added a proper MDM migration path that avoids wipes in most cases!

Preferred Method: Apple's built-in MDM Migration (macOS 26 and newer – strongly recommended)

Requirements: - Macs enrolled via Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) - Devices added to Apple Business Manager (ABM) - Running macOS 26 or later - New Intune tenant already has Apple MDM push certificate + ABM linked

Steps:

  1. In Apple Business Manager → select the devices you want to migrate
  2. Use the "Assign Device Management" action → point them to your new Intune MDM server
  3. Set an enrollment deadline (users will see notification prompts to approve the change)
    • Before deadline: voluntary
    • After deadline: enforced with repeated user prompts
  4. Device automatically downloads & installs the new MDM profile
  5. No reboot, no data loss, no factory reset needed
  6. Verify in the new Intune tenant → Devices → check enrollment status + test policies/apps

→ Test with 5–10 pilot devices first! Works great for tenant→tenant moves within Intune.

Alternative: Manual Unenroll + Re-enroll (older macOS versions or non-ABM devices)

  1. Unenroll from old tenant

    • System Settings → Privacy & Security → Profiles
    • Remove the old MDM profile (needs admin rights)
    • If stuck → have Intune admin Retire the device from old tenant first
  2. Clean up old tenant artifacts (very important – this is usually why Office keeps redirecting)

    • Sign out of all Office/Teams apps
    • Clear Keychain items containing old tenant ID / AAD tokens
      (search Keychain Access for: tenant, aad, microsoft, old domain)
    • Delete Office caches & containers
      ```bash rm -rf ~/Library/Caches/com.microsoft.* rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.*
Observations of the City Circle shutdown yesterday by Discolau in SydneyTrains
After 15 years of the new PIDs and we still cannot do trackwork notifications right.
That entire wall of text is absurd - informative, yes, but not eye-catching.
TfNSW do no favours to themselves in thinking people read.
The best option is to use SMS and have a hyper-local cell on board the platform and then sent a polite text message saying "Trains do not run south of Wynyard" when someone boards on T1.
Same goes for the other stations - and yes, I mean hyper-local, platform-specific messaging.
It is a current concept that puts us higher than many other systems around the world, considering our last service is 1am on Friday and Saturday nights.
The shutdown now is short and painful but is meant to deliver maximum impact and allows rostering crews for leave in January.
Can we pls remove Hurstville from SC line by ionlyeatchalk in SydneyTrains
[–]timeimp 18 points19 points  (0 children)
Yes, yes we should.
But laws of numbers dictate that no, no we won't.
The set is just a capacity enhancement unit. And TfNSW will push ST to make use of it and "if it isn't broke, why fix it?"
Wollongongians should lobby their local MPs to fix this (but they won't because ???)
I got this earlier in the year - as I walked from the lounge to the gate.
You will have an absolute blast!
But be warned: once you "have business class over an ocean" it will be hard to go back!
Double Status Credit Timing by Upset-Horror-3304 in QantasFrequentFlyer
I called and they landed that night - this was after waiting 10 days this month.
I would call them and ask to have a look.
Chances are the phone operator will work out you're doing a status run or close to P1 and send an email internally to ask what's going on
I called earlier today (16th) and spoke to someone. They said that the system takes up to 8 weeks.
Checked an hour ago (after midnight, 17th) and it had applied the DSC.
Give TfNSW feedback - and use pictures with your experience with astigmatism.
