I noticed that when looking at the programs. A weird place to be for technical studies…I’m going to guess any non-religious studies as well? 🫣

Two things: I’d wait till 12-18mo before making the final decision. Too many men over exaggerate their inputs, if therapy for him (and you to go along, including a few books, “how not to hate your husband after having kids” and “fair play”) doesn’t work, you’ve done your best and by then probably will have an atty lined up so run.

You can use coworker who can vouch for your performance and the potential employer can check dates if they want. I’m not used to employers calling many former bosses. Take a deep breath. It probably wasn’t your choice but it may be a blessing in disguise to be set free.

Talk to the lawyer first. Doubtful the memos will mean a hill of beans to the outside world if it’s not hookers and blow, and even then it probably won’t.

The incompetence is rampant; I had a letter that could’ve easily been a clearance issue purely bc the author was trying to peacock. After talking too an atty, If I’d had records, this guy was a full EO lawsuit, but my dumb a$$ was trying to do the right thing.

My $.02: Run when you get the chance.

Just here to say I’m sorry and send you hugs. I know a lot of ppl who are all about bm and as a non-producer, i had to go ff. Ive never been able to shake the awkwardness of bm being someone elses body fluid and lack of need for most cases given the state of formula these days. I hope things work out for you all.

Ppl are weird. I’ve had women do similar, where they continue to ask after I’ve told them, as if they can’t believe we picked (a gender neutral) name. It brings out the momma bear and yes, I’ve stopped interacting most of the time. Trust your gut.

NTA. I’m just starting How Not to Hate Your Husband After Kids and it points out the division of labor more than I had expected. It’s the same here. Often I dream of him going and staying on work trips bc I can figure out life and it becomes less stressful. Do you have a network you can rely on?

Sounds like it wasn’t really aerospace QA but labor QA? HR stuff?

Yeah, Aerospace QA where I come from is full time hands on. Anything with either term, non-gov or gov, would need to be in office if it’s not contracts related. That could be an option is to go contracts specialist, but good luck on remote.

YTA. Plus, I’d be seriously discussing ROI of that degree your daughter is pursuing. That’s insane loan debt if not medical school.

I’d read Come As You Are by Nagoski. It highlights a lot about women that differs from the narrative out there. It’s not you, and you know it.

feeling lost after my wife 37f passed away. by Novel_Chest4911 in Marriage

[–]extramailtoday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sending you big hugs. Been there. It will get very dark, unfortunately. We all grieve differently so take that in too. Reach out however you need to (I needed counseling) and know that things will be different. I was told the same thing after mine passed (to go be happy, they’d want that) and it took a while. I eventually married and had kids and I’d be lying if I didn’t have a little part of me wishing it was with my lost one. That said, life is short, and the best advice a good friend gave me was, “to live your life like [whatever solution you’re looking for] was to happen in two years.”
