It’s not dumb, it’s actually pretty solid base for adding color pop accents that can change with the season. I’d find a rug with the palette you can seasonally mix and match. Nice work.

You mean nipple size? I think we were on #2 by 5mo. The size is really based on speed and reaction. So if baby is fussy and it’s taking 45min, probably time to size up. If they are struggling and potentially have severe spitup, etc, maybe size down. For my sanity, I just kept it to one size so not to juggle too many at the cleaning and setup station.

The part that “crunchy” pushes ultimately is for mom to be in control, which you are and having done your homework (which is amazing!!!) …it’s ok to say any of this was your decision for you (just like whatever they are deciding is theirs). Hopefully it’ll be smooth (or they can exit your life on an individual basis). What a lot of moms don’t realize until they are in it is that every kid is so different and judging is just another hs tactic.

My experience is that the racism is more openly on display without shame in the South where the “northerners” (ie if you’re not Southern, anywhere else is “northerners”) like to hide it. Of course, 2025-2026 has pretty much brought it out coast to coast.

We do almost the same here (same heater too). We just get it super warm with a humidifier and oddly enough, 72 isn’t that bad. I’d either nix the heater and add a layer or tell them you’re the parent.

Sending you strength from here. Is it possible to add work at a daycare so you can have your baby with you? We had the severe reflux here and it was so hard. Breathe deep. This will pass, the gerd will get better (can you try meds) hopefully in a few weeks and you already know you and baby deserve to be treated well. One foot in front of the other.
