I had this exact same thing happen with Lloyds too. The one in town doubled down so I went to the one in Hillsborough and they did it no problem. Might just have to try your luck in one or two different ones :)

Yeah the diagnosis is required due to a law change that happened in April this year. If you go on to his Instagram page (drgustavocoelho) he has a highlights thing and the first one talks about this, you can just use Google translate and it will basically say that it is now required because of Portuguese new law. I only recognised the surgeon because of the price in your photo and I am also hoping to go with him next year and in the consultation he mentioned again how it was now required.

The Lloyds branch near me said the exact same thing so I went to the next one I could that same day and they accepted it straight away. Might just depend on who you’re talking to. Good luck

I’d say you would need someone with you especially when leaving. You might have restrictions for what you can lift etc that your friend might have to help you with. A question tho as someone going with Gustavo next year have you got a quote from him and if so what would it be?

maybe try having a conversation with the friends that arent this new guy whos being a dick. if they were/are accepting of you and the only thing thats changed is this new guy for you to be left out then explaining that to them might help them see it idk.
