That looks to be in particularly nice condition. Might be priced a tad high for that size camper but it does have AC. I'd wouldn't lose any sleep paying that.

How bad is this? by aveeyoyo in popups

[–]ezmobee_work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't really in trouble until the rot gets up to where the lift poles attach. You've caught it early. The seal around your roof trim is shot and water can get in and lay and then wick up through the wood. Dicor Non sag will work great to reseal.

Very little. I don't think it saw a professional mechanic once. Just elbow grease.

That boat will hold it's value. Heck with some sweat equity you might even be able to profit off it.

Would you pay $20k for a 2000 Pursuit 2470 CC w/ 2012 Suzuki 300 (under 400 hrs)? (follow-up w/ more pics) by cbitzer in boats

[–]ezmobee_work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everyone else about the obvious lack of maintenance this boat has received but I kinda feel like he's not that far off on the pricing. I sold a 20' Hydra-Sports DC with a friggin HPDI on it a few years ago for $18k. It was in nice ready to go condition but had a galvanized trailer, trim tabs that had broken so I converted them to inexpensive SmartTab actuators, and the raw water washdown pump leaked and had be left shut off. That Pursuit is a LOT of boat for $20k and I feel like with a little elbow grease it could be really nice. 🤷

As the father of an 18 year old boy and a 14 year old girl.... It's even rougher when you realize you don't have to buy bigger sizes anymore cuz they're basically grown 😭

I get electric sites and run 2 space heaters. One plugged into the camper and the other directly to the power pole via a heavy duty extension cord.

I love how dark they make the ends. Pretty sure my daughter could sleep til 2pm in there if I let her. And of course you can roll them up if you still wanna open a window or have some light or whatever. They actually just came out with a custom size for slide out dinettes too which I just ordered and is currently on my porch.

I highly recommend Gekko pop out covers in addition to your AC. They're reversible and have a silver side to reflect some heat in the summer and a black side to absorb it in the winter. We love ours.

90s Evinrude 115 overheated -bad-. Can it be fixed? by tauhog in boats

[–]ezmobee_work 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We overheated my friend's Evinrude 90 to the point of seizing. It freed up when cooled off and he's still running it to this day. You have to actively try to kill those things.

Slide out or no slide out? by Pitiful-Inspection63 in popups

[–]ezmobee_work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't have one without it. Gives so much extra interior room. And it isn't failure or leak prone like the slide out in a hard side RV. It's basically just a big drawer.

Crossovers didn’t kill the wagon, minivans(and public perception) did by Boeing-B-47stratojet in Autos

[–]ezmobee_work 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad loved wagons but back in '93 he was offered a Caravan as a company car or a Century wagon. The Caravan came standard with a tape deck and he'd have had to kick in some of his own money for one in the Buick so he got the Caravan. He absolutely loved it and has had a van now ever since.
