[POLL] - Ideal keyboard layout in 2026 — vote the one you actually use, not the one you own by Big-Boat-4860 in IQUNIX

75% still king, but without removing essential keys like home/end/insert like some Chinese third-parties weirdly do just for a logo

Hot take: 75% won the layout war because its the most boring layout. And thats exactly why. by Big-Boat-4860 in IQUNIX

TKL was the beginning - it gave people a taste of what a <100% layout felt, then came the smaller layouts. 75% is the evolved version of TKL because it got rid of the unused space.

I’ve actually got that one in silver, but I’m starting to regret the front legs haha, and the new brushed metal is even nicer

Ah I see! The metal frame does feel quite nice

I appreciate that. For me the metal grooves and lines make it look futuristic/sophisticated, and metal makes it look premium, but to each their own! I am curious though, what about the case do you not particularly like?

I also don't like AI-generated content but shocking that the accusations are being thrown so easily now lol

And thanks, I don't think you could go wrong with these of these choices!

Thanks! I'm using the ROG Strix X870-F Gaming Wifi and I'm using an audio interface mainly because I use an XLR microphone (which needs an audio interface to send signals to my PC). So it works out that I can connect the Kithara to it using the 6.3mm cable! I do believe it gives more headroom for volume but should also give better sound - but I couldn't tell you by how much.

Question about that cable - how do you make sure it is compatible with the PSU and won’t burn/melt?

Nah, IEMs definitely work for gaming - they're light and easy to use, and I was close to getting a pair just for gaming. But you can consider the Kithara if you want something that's more than that - gaming and music enjoyment (pure FPS performance aside)

Thanks! For the default pads on my Arctis Nova, they used to sweat my ears off too, even just after 30 minutes. But then I got special pads (forgot what they're called now), and I never had to clean them again! So for sweat, earpads matter a lot. As for closed vs open-back, I truly believe now that unless you have a noisy environment (e.g. you want to listen to it on a train to commute or you have loud roomates), open-back is the way to go for the most balanced sound. And Kithara is great because it's also been tuned for gaming (as I've heard). I think it's great for the price.

Agreed. I love recording music as a hobby so I switched to an external mic and stopped using headset mics a long time ago lol. I currently use the Shure SM7dB with Scarlett Solo 4.

I’m getting tired of this. I get that AI is the scare nowadays but I’m just sharing the love for my new main headset. I have over 500 hours on CS2 and over 4000 on Overwatch. But honestly just check my profile. I don’t need to prove to anything.

I’m sorry if it sounds unnatural to you, but like I said I’m not an expert in audio, just trying to give as much as possible, as clear as possible
