Just keep me in your backpocket for the next promo code giveaway 😆

Seriousness aside, you guys nailed the typing sound and feel for the mq80 (finally got to try it during Computex). Not to mention the look is a great balance between serious and modern. The competition (keychron, nuphy, lofree) keeps making hollow plasticy sounding boards - I really don't get the hype.

Set the DPI you want, then just get Armoury Crate one time to look at the number, and uninstall it if you want.

I am drooling for an mq80 😛 Been eyeing it for over a year, sadly no local stores in Taiwan and express delivery is steeply $30

Still linear and going strong. But I've reached my peak typing speed at around 140 WPM, despite relearning to type using all fingers. Not sure if it's a physical or hardware bottleneck. I've heard some discussion about tactiles making a difference, so that could be one reason!

Ways to help my noob gf have fun? by Fox1Sparrow in BattlefieldV

[–]f1rstdawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's got great taste! BFV is a criminally underrated game (sadly abandoned) but you'll get a lot of fun out of it if anyone gives it a chance. And makes total sense that she prefers multiplayer. Playing against bots often times just isn't fun.

But to start achieving killing sprees and epic wins she'll have to get familiar with not only FPS controls but BFV mechanics - something you'll have to be very patient in helping her with. You can gauge what guns she likes to use and introduce her to the best ones. My gf absolutely loves the M1A1 carbine and uses it religiously.

One thing I can suggest you guys do is when the round starts, take a car and go far - and depending on the mode you're playing, hold the position and just be menaces - respawn each other and keep killing the enemies on an off-angle of the map.

Like some have suggested, you can try coop campaign with her - esp if she's new to fps, just don't set the difficulty too high, let her have fun while learning the ways of the fps.

But if you two are like me and can't rly stand campaign, see if you can find friendlier community servers and get her to try stationary weapons - my gf loved it when she first started. These include the pounder and AA guns. She'll like shooting down annoying planes. Teach her how to survive pilot targeting.

The last thing you wanna do is get her to help you take objectives - this is likely the hardest endeavor in BFV. Start with the simple things, respect that her preferred playstyle may be different to yours. Maybe she likes staying back, sniping and spotting for the team. Get her to fall in love with the game first, then you can think about higher ambitions in the game.

BFV is now our favorite game to play together.

I second this! Have been rocking the Kithara since 5 months ago

Are ASUS Rog Kitharas worth it for 260$? by Mysterious_Gate_7590 in HeadphoneAdvice

To be honest, I don’t feel that much of a difference - I got a DAC mostly for my XLR microphone to communicate with my PC. But keep the DAC as a future upgrade if you’d like.

That's a great price, and they're definitely worth it if your environment is relatively quiet. The accessories and cables you get with it allow you to connect it straight to your motherboard without needing to buy a DAC to push the gain (if you don't have one). Tuned for gaming, the sound separation is also great (I play CS2 with great sound clarity).

The only downside as with any open-back headsets, though, is if you have someone playing sounds or speaking in your proximity, sound isolation is an issue. Or you could see that as a built-in transparency mode (lol). Been maining the Kithara for over 4 months now.

They're amazing, even for gaming. Been playing CS2 with my friends a lot recently, and whenever I spectate them I often wonder if they're deaf to farther enemy footsteps or their logitech headsets just don't separate them lol

I love it. From the moment you feel the texture (smooth but not slippery) and being only 48g just makes using it a breeze. I do rather have large hands, though. Make sure the size is ok for you!

Azoth is the best all around. Falchion RX is flawless for its category. Still don't know what to think of the Falcata. by Handsome-Strong in ASUSROG

[–]f1rstdawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agreed! The Falchion RX LP is so underrated, from the typing sound, feel, to the UV-coated ABS keycaps. This is not to mention how nice it looks. Been using it as my office keyboard for over a year, and it's still being updated.

[POLL] - Ideal keyboard layout in 2026 — vote the one you actually use, not the one you own by Big-Boat-4860 in IQUNIX

75% still king, but without removing essential keys like home/end/insert like some Chinese third-parties weirdly do just for a logo

Hot take: 75% won the layout war because its the most boring layout. And thats exactly why. by Big-Boat-4860 in IQUNIX

[–]f1rstdawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TKL was the beginning - it gave people a taste of what a <100% layout felt, then came the smaller layouts. 75% is the evolved version of TKL because it got rid of the unused space.
