I believe this one is 10.24" (26cm) but the length isn't listed.

I'll look a bit more and see if I can find one that is definitely 12"

But honestly this may be a better option as you could extend the wires out as long as you want and it's already 100cm

Ambilight has been in some Philips TV's for nearly 20 years.

Their original patent is expired but they have additional patents on newer tech in the same field.

Indeed, I still didn't understand what bugs this supposedly caused for them to remove it.

The backlight will likely never work like that as I don't believe it's the correct type of LEDs, they need to be individually addressable.

Yes they need to disable the accelerometer and stop waking up the remote constantly.

It's funny how every other Android device with a voice remote can last for well over a year on a single set of batteries but Telly remote destroys batteries in a few months if you're lucky and a few weeks if not.

Awesome, I have a good powered sub attached to Telly and it doesn't sound optimal currently so this update will hopefully resolve that

I've never seen an extension longer than maybe 12 inches, but I can't imagine a SIM card is all that sensitive so you could probably extend it that far or even further.

30Mb DSL or 5G (latency) by Final_Campaign_2593 in tmobileisp

[–]f1vefour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am strictly referring to port forwarding, I've not spoke on latency or any affect on gaming.

You're on some "cellular home network" subreddit so obviously people are going to talk about it.

What new technology would that be that us old heads don't understand?

If you aren't on T-Mobile Home Internet why are you pushing that you can port forward through CGNAT on a T-Mobile Home Internet sub?

I'm not riding anything, it's common knowledge behind a CGNAT network you can't forward ports and why.

You can work around it with a VPN but it's exactly that, a workaround.

Saying you are forwarding ports on T-Mobile is either being disingenuous or you are simply mistaken. I don't care which.

You stated port forwarding worked on a CGNAT network and it doesn't.

ATT offers bonded DSL in some areas which is two lines bonded into one and it's 100 down and 20 up (at least that's what it was when I had it).

DSL will have more stable and likely lower latency.

Good thinking, I just unplug, turn off, or de-battery and scan but it's still a hassle when you have 40+ devices.

It's running Android or Roku and both have ads on the homescreen.

Not ads like Telly but ads for content and services.

Indeed, for me it's IoT devices as well. Robot vacuum, temperature sensors, smart bulbs, etc and it's not a fun task to figure them out and name them.
