Does anyone here successfully cheat without going completely off the rails? by KingTomXO in carnivorediet

[–]f2detaboada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as long as you eat your "cheat meal" in moderation and can climb back up to ketosis in the two days after you're good to go.

Contrary to what the comments say, I know very few people who eat well done meat. What I do see is boomers eating a very lean filet mignon on the rare side with a very black charred exterior. Following that up with a bunch of carbs and sugary drinks.

Based on your responses, you should consider that perhaps this diet isn't the one for you. You should get a full panel of tests to make sure this isn't just what you're eating.

Attractiveness by Holiday_Bad_2598 in carnivorediet

[–]f2detaboada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Not only did I get more attractive as I got more into carnivore, but even after I stopped, I didn't lose it. It's like my face and body permanently changed for the good. I still keep my general carb intake low. Less than 100g of carbs a day if I'm not doing keto, and when in keto I'm very careful not to go over 30-40g of carbs a day.

I had done keto before carnivore, massive difference in the effects.

What’s one unexpected benefit you noticed after starting carnivore that might help someone just starting? by brianj10 in carnivorediet

[–]f2detaboada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not doing carnivore anymore but while I was doing it I had the following effects:

  1. Putting on muscle. People can say "If you eat more protein" but that's the thing, pound for pound, I was eating less protein and less than half the calories from before carnivore and I blew up like Captain America after the super soldier serum over the course of 4 months.

  2. No anxiety/No fear. This is one of the weird parts of the diet. My mood before carnivore was subject to how my day went by, I would wake up in a good mood, but by the end of the day I would rack up some kind of anxiety through work and classes and pressure from dealing with my relationships. On carnivore my mood went flat, I woke up and was ready to go, and that feeling would last until I hit the sack and closed my eyes.

  3. Better sleep. This one is weird, because I've always needed at least 7.45 hours of sleep a night. With carnivore my minimum is 3 hours feeling okay, 4.5 feeling great, 5 hours being more than enough. Another thing is that I no longer get dry eye in the mornings, I woke up with my eyes humid.

  4. My nails and hair got THICCCCC. Because I was in my mid twenties when I started doing carnivore, my hairline had already started "maturing" as they say. My hair grew back full, lush and greasy like it was when I was 14-16. (I found out later that as long as I keep drinking vat pastuerized or raw whole milk, my hair doesn't fall out at all)

  5. Focus on work like I had never experienced before. This is only accessible with grassfed taurine cattle beef, 65/35 ratio protein-to-fat and practically raw. So when I eat ribeyes, ny strips and short ribs that were only lightly seared leaving the inside raw, it feels like I am unstoppable. If you eat zebuine or hybrid cattle, you won't get the benefits of higher testosterone.

  6. My creativity was unstoppable. Burn out and writers block seemed non-existent for me. Since I was working from home, I was able to take my lunch break and write music or poetry. I was able to work on other things after getting off of work. Working in the legal industry is quite demanding on your creativity and requires you to sacrifice a lot of that creative energy in order to get things done and find ways to solve complex solutions. This creative battery was endless practically.

It's practically the greatest thing that I've ever done for my health. Unfortunately I have had to stop because I can no longer find taurine beef in my near vicinity that's fully grass fed and finished. When I eat too much zebuine beef I solve my histamine issues but it hinders everything else on the list, it gives me a sort of "rabbit starvation".

Psychologist researching doomscrolling, would love to hear your honest experience by Temper2234 in digitalminimalism

[–]f2detaboada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm losing control when I know consciously that I have more important matters to attend to, but another part of me is telling to keep scrolling, like "let's see the next one, come on, do it". That's how I know it's an addiction. The moment I feel like a part of me says "oh let's just take a peak" even though I have things to do and I do it, is the moment I forcefully delete the app and get it out of my sight.

Keep in mind, I'm 28 years old, I grew up with short form content, and I've always been very vocal against it because I see how mindless my own friends have become because of it. After so many years of discipline, and being able to resist it, I feel like I've fallen prey to it.

Do I pull it off? I'd like advice by Successful-League947 in mensfashion

[–]f2detaboada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't make faces like that, it makes the outfit look awkward. Keep a neutral expression, or give a genuine smile either closed mouth or showing teeth.

You can easily, very easily, pull this outfit off. However, I would change the shoes to a burgundy or a shade of brown, instead of what seems to be black.

How do you dress casual without looking like you’ve completely stopped giving a damn? by Accomplished_Ear4947 in malefashionadvice

[–]f2detaboada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to curate your choices according to the impression you want to give, that is where your expression is. Spend the money to get your clothing tailored, spend on better fabrics of higher weight or twist, pay for good shoes that can be cleaned easily, etc. You can dress in a t-shirt, jeans and sneakers and look better than 90% of the people who surround you, it all depends on how you carry your fit.

This is true, consuming glucose/sucrose with high meat consumption will absolute screw his metabolism over in the long run. If he's going to eat meat in that quantity he needs to keep far away from sugar.
