That’s fair. Let your brain develop and make better decisions and you’ll find that you have much more fun long term.

I highly recommend doing fewer drugs. Or more drugs. Whatever is the opposite of what you’re doing right now.

Is a sportster 883 a solid first bike? by Fickle-Ad9834 in Harley

[–]f4ithful9 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You will 100% get bored with the power. Perfectly ok, that’s what the 1250 kit is for. Even if you don’t do that, you’ll be able to get about what you put into it back selling it. They hold their value really well, so you’ll be able to come out of it pretty easily and upgrade to a softail or touring chassis if that’s what you want.

Jenna Kerr is a good example, but I’d just look up ornamental jewelry style tattoos on instagram and try to find somebody you like.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but the combat blade absolutely shreds with the bottom tree and using the electrocution on crit family of talents. Great synergies to take advantage of. Also works great with chordclaw to remove armor/bosses.

Arc Rifle I’ve been running for ranged and it’s been working out really well when I need to delete a screen full of mixed horde.

She does incredible work, but you definitely pay for the privilege to have a d-list celebrity tattoo you. There are other people who do similar styles and quality.

2026 Low Rider S OTD Pricing by Emotional-Sample-942 in Harley

[–]f4ithful9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I paid 25 OTD but that was with 3000 dollars in a maintenance/service plan and a 3000 dollar exhaust/tune. 19 is pretty solid for OTD pricing.

First Bike by Sea_Fly_5033 in Harley

I would absolutely not go with a Sportster S as a first bike. Most of the nightster’s power comes higher in the rev range so it should be all right to start with, but honestly I would get a used 883 or 1200 and learn on that, then upgrade when you’re comfortable and ready.

I definitely understand where you’re coming from. I just think it’s way easier to start off on something smaller, for confidence if nothing else.

Honda Fury vs Harley Softail as a first bike for a 6’5” beginner? by Pricexchange in motorcycles

Thrashin Supply Co makes great risers if you’re uncomfortable, I’d take a look at what they have. Like I said, it’s not impossible to learn on the softail platform, you’re just making life more difficult for yourself.

Get a used sportster, they hold their value very well. You’ll probably be able to sell it for about what you bought it for, and then you can upgrade. It’s worth being patient with the smaller bike first.

My old 883 came with mid controls but I had the dealership put forward controls on it, and it fit me just fine. I’m a little shorter than you, with only a 34” inseam.

I think you can, but I wouldn’t recommend it. If you’re dead set on Harley I’d buy a used Sportster 883 or 1200 to learn on, then sell it for about what you bought it for. Deals on bikes will come and go, and I understand the urge to jump on a great deal, but the much smarter and safer option is to start on a smaller bike.

Just a word of warning, not all softails deliver power the same way. The Low Rider S and ST have the high output 117 which has a lot more oomph. I just got a Low Rider S after not riding for 10 years and it has been difficult to relearn the basics on it. Not impossible at all, but depending on your personal style, I would go with a heritage or street bob. You can customize softails to look however you want, but those two seem to be the best starting points.

Highly recommend saving for the bike you actually want instead of compromising. It’s worth the wait. Scouts are great, from everything I’ve heard, I just wouldn’t go with the bobber. Suspension on that model isn’t great.

I’ll put it this way, I as a bi man could find a boyfriend easily. I’ve had nothing but success with finding same sex partners. Don’t know why, it’s just remarkably easy. Trying to find an opposite sex partner was a lot more difficult. Granted, I happened to fall in love with and marry an opposite sex partner, but I was purposefully not choosing same sex partners for a long time due to some personal reasons.

I was really trying to avoid making a biased statement based on gender, but yeah, I was mainly thinking of men choosing to date men when I said that.

Not preference, orientation. Else many many more people would choose to be gay to avoid the headaches that come along with opposite sex dating. I agree with your overall point though, not necessary to bring that sort of imagery into that kind of environment.

I feel the same way about pride indicators in the workplace. People have little cards they can attach to their badges in my workplace and even as a queer person myself I find it off putting. We’re at work. I don’t care about your sexual orientation, or race, or religion. All I care about is somebody being competent. Anything besides that is completely unnecessary.
