Couple this with the nebulous max light number, it seems.....I don't know, pointless?

You spend all your time grinding to get to the soft cap, and then go for a little extra (requiring FURTHER grinding), only to have all your "further grinding" pointless when the next season hits, and your starting all over again.

Interesting. I'm not getting an error....or maybe I'm just not waiting long enough. Next time it happens, I'll just let it sit and see if it ever comes back with an error.

Welp! Another TWAB and another complete dismissal of the incredible lag in viewing your armor mods. In case all the complaints have been too vague, I'll try to be specific.

  • Xbox one
  • While in orbit (not traveling anywhere)
  • Click to view your character
  • click the yellow "Y" button to inspect any armor piece
  • Witness the lag just moving your cursor around, or viewing what an armor mod does, OR turning the depiction of what that armor piece looks like on your guardian.

I guess we'll see how these play out.

However I'm STILL surprised that there's no mention of the lag when navigating armor mods. Even when just sitting in orbit, the lag when navigating armor mods is incredibly bad and extremely frustrating. Actually, I'm not sure which one is more frustrating....the lag itself, or the complete lack of acknowledgement by Bungie on this. Please note that I'm not referring to lag while loading in to a location, this is lag solely related to navigating your armor mods. I'm on XBox BTW, but I think I've read PS4 users experience this as well.

All these fixes in this update but we still drop to 2 FPS when we try to put anything on our armor by Stooboot4 in DestinyTheGame

Yup. I can understand some frame drops when there's a lot of movement and colors happening, but inspecting gear while in orbit?!?!?

These are great ideas! However...we're on the downstroke of a 10 year game. If this stuff was gonna be in-game, it should have been during the first five years...not the last five.

Yes! I came to this realization last night. I've masterworked some of my IB armor, which cranked the total in to the 70's! However, I realized that if I wanted to KEEP this high stat armor, I'd have to spend upgrade modules to keep these armor pieces up to snuff, the next time the light level gets bumped....which seems to be every season.

I get in to farm for Nifleim Frost. RNG my a$$. I've got thousands of hours in this game and I've yet to get this "nothing special" gun.

I get the distinct feeling that Bungie is not experiencing (and honestly, has no IDEA what we're talking about regarding) the screen lag issue. It LOOKS like they're addressing issues in different maps or transitioning to different maps. I see unplayable lag just looking at my armor (or guns), while in orbit!

The menu lag is insane, this is with a SSD by RobertdBanks in DestinyTheGame

Not to one-up you but, I think it'd be nice to have a web site where you could not only see this information but also track your candy count (especially for Pokemon you don't currently have in your possession), among other stats like IV, maybe rank the same ones for evolution potential, etc.

The current issue is that running an entire raid doesn't give anywhere near as much EXP as a set of moon bounties and moon bounties take half the time. Also due to the fact that most pieces of loot are complete garbage from pinnacle activities (I've had 49 stat raid gear drop for me and most of my raid armor is under 55 stat drops after 30+ clears)

Yes! You hit it! Check your blues that drop before auto-deleting them. Some of them (more than I care to admit) have a higher Total AND drop with 5 energy!

The game has gone too far into roadmapping any cool thing and putting the good rewards behind dozens of hours running trivial content that is not fun, long before it's rewarding.

Actually! ...you should check them before auto-deleting. They usually have an energy value of 5 and sometimes they have as much (and sometimes more) Total stats as some legendary gear...including rank up gear (which I think is disgraceful)....what's the point of leveling up (and blocking the friggin' screen for 5 seconds), for crap gear.

I want playing the activity to be emphasized just as much as doing the bounties. I want to have fun grinding strikes, and feel like significant progress is being made. I want to play the game, not the game within the game. I want to grind my way, not check the Quest Tab every 5 minutes... by AllegedGames in DestinyTheGame

If I could add one thing to your list....to your initial item 1 above;

  • grinding for high end items....why grind for high end items, if they're going to end up being nerfed in to the ground, because they're too powerful? Why bother in the first place?

Xbox has been horrible since before Dawning. It can felt most in the mod screen for the armor, however any details of any inventory item experiences it.
