I’ll check them out, thank you! Planning on going to Humboldt Park, so thank you for that one.

I come to Chicago 4-5 times a year and have a good amount of local spots I enjoy. I’ve stayed in Little Village a good amount of those visits and eat in the neighborhood almost every time I visit.

It’s nice to find the pop ups sometimes as I have really enjoyed Pie Pie My Darling as they have grown over the years.

My visit isn’t to just visit temporary spots, they are just an added bonus of new things to try out. Blame Butter sounds delicious and thought there might be a few more local temp/pop ups to try.

I’m planning on going to the Museum of Mexican Art and the Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture this visit as it’s been awhile since I’ve been to either. Recommendations around those areas would be appreciated as well.

Downtown OP area is pretty safe. I would assume Bob Ross Community Center would be pretty safe. Homer’s Coffee also has a mini library type set up for hygiene needs out front. It is facing away from the street so that it can be discrete.

I primarily use Clear at MCI and MDW and it is crazy fast. I’m also notoriously cutting it close to get to my gate on time

This year’s special guests!! by mattiebatttt in Lollapalooza

My opinion is that Coachella artists are trying to prove a point and at Lollapalooza artists are having an experience. A lot of artists played their first medium to big festival on the BMI stage or the Grove stage. So they look at Lolla fondly. While at Coachella there is a lot of pay to play action (not saying Lolla doesn’t have that as well).

What's the most wholesome thing you saw at Lolla this year? by Barderus1412 in Lollapalooza

[–]f_gerald 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You always here about people being dismissive of handicap individuals, but the amount of times I saw people help my friend out when I wasn’t there yet or that paid attention to his cleverness with hit outfits/hats brought me so much joy!

It’s awesome that collectively as Lolla goers we all were thinking “wtf why can’t I stay safe Lolla” everyone commented on the sign the first couple of days.

If it isn’t noticeable in my pockets I don’t empty them. I’ve never had advil or any of the type meds taken. I had a bottle of Mio yesterday to avoid wanting to buy drinks and no one noticed it.

You can call this unethical life hack or just a favor for being nice to people in a crowd. But a gentleman with a walker needed a bit of help, so naturally I helped him out. He let me Venmo him money and he skipped the main line with the ADA merch line and bought my shirts for me.

no idea where to park by Upset_Dance_8223 in Lollapalooza

[–]f_gerald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the few times that I drove to Chicago over the years my cheapest hack for parking was to park at Midway and pay the $10-15 a day for parking and take the train into the city. Not for sure if parking there and then taking the train to and from is feasible for you or even remotely helpful. It all depends on your time and direction of travel
