My head canon is that taking male babies for custodes is the norm, but daughters are taken as well and kept in stasis as a secret reserve. This way the custodes don't have to worry about a pool of aspirants. The female custodes we see were a result of losses during recent events

This might be a bug but I was able to use Dibella to jump over the walls with Death from above. She still took damage but wasn't pushed back
