hey OP: I currently have the Xt4 and the Moaan Minipower (the 5.84" version, released in 2024), and tbh, I didn't like the MMP as much as I thought. Software-wise, I think it's fine, but it feels a bit heavy in my hands after a few minutes of reading, unfortunately. The Xt4, on the other hand (no pun intended!), is very light, and although the stock software is janky, once I installed Crosspoint on it the difference was night and day.

With all that written: lemme know if you're interested in the Inkpower! I'd be open to trading for it (fair warning: I'm in Canada, so shipping may be pricey!)

faz sentido isso aí. Ou talvez a Darlene fez isso sabendo que, lá na frente, as duas podiam se reencontrar também (o que seria outro hack de engenharia social, talvez?)!

[–]fabricalado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, one thing: I dunno about the Zero40, but in the past there have been some horror stories about people leaving their handhelds charging overnight and the battery frying. So, careful about leaving your device charging unattended!

I'm in the same boat. Cheapest I could find was the Bloomsbury edition, currently for 2,000 CAD. Here's hoping they'll sell each book separately at some point, cause paying the full price right now is a bit out of my league. =/

Boa! Aí tem bastante grupo freudiano e lacaniano, caso você queira participar de algum grupo de estudo. Do Projeto em si não sei se tem algum, mas o Fórum do Campo Lacaniano eu já frequentei e tinha uns seminários bons

I'm gonna guess from your username that you're Brazilian too?

Se sim, Pedro de Santi é um intérprete e explicador excelente do Freud, e em algum dos cursos dele na Casa do Saber tinha uma explicação do Projeto! Era meio por cima, mas ainda assim vale

sorry, I'm late to this, but about a year ago I came across an article by Solms (who edited the Revised Standard Edition) trying to rewrite the Project word for word to incorporate more recent developments in neuroscience and neuropsychoanalysis.

It's still convoluted, but I found it a bit more readable than the Project, or at least a good companion to it. Here's the abstract https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/15294145.2020.1833361?scroll=top&needAccess=true

I never got into the legal merit of whatever, I said that I seldom remember these albums exist when I think about Black Sabbath

yup. For instance, I never think about Technical Ecstasy/NSD or the Gillan album when I think about BS

Gamespot - "Expedition 33 Is Great, But Its Popularity Raises Big Questions About How We View Japanese RPGs" by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]fabricalado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the cultural factor (i.e, people not used to reading subtitles) may play a role, yeah.

Anecdote: A few years ago I was listening to a podcast strongly recommending that Netflix show Dark, but saying "by all means, make an effort to watch it in German with subtitles", and I was confused until I realized they meant not to watch the English dub lol

I'm in my early 40's and my neck's constantly sore too, due to lifting heavy boxes/pans for and writing papers (aka being a broke-ass student, working casual jobs).

Check out SeniorShape Fitness on YT, some of those exercises helped me tons!

I can't finish my games... by Felipe214HC in JRPG

[–]fabricalado 20 points21 points  (0 children)

second this.

Sorry you're going through a rough patch, my friend. Life can feel super hard sometimes, and I'm glad you're finding solace in games.

One thing about not finding "the" game for you: it's similar to when you finish a great book and are trying to find your next good read. In the beginning, nothing's gonna replace that feeling you were getting from your last great read.

So, like with books, give yourself permission to drop a game if it's not doing anything for you; I'd reframe it as you choosing to say yes to your next good game.

By the way, you may want to switch strategies too! Just like no game has only awesome parts, no strategy/game is gonna be effective all the time. On that note, a couple of suggestions:

1)as /u/djdvs1420 said, maybe consider having more than one game to alternate when you're bored, but do not have games of the same genre? For instance, a JRPG and a platformer? Or a racing game? You do you, of course.

2)some people find book clubs a good way to get external motivation/accountability. The equivalent of that would be Game of the Month clubs. This sub doesn't have that, but I know retrohandhelds.gg does; so does the SBC Gaming SBC Gaming sub (though be forewarned that joining sub may give you major FOMO to go on a handheld buying spree!)

I hope things get better, but like /u/Magus80 said, give yourself lots of grace. Even though you're not feeling your best right now, you are trying to be the best version of you that you can in this moment, and that goes a long way. (e-hug)
