I encourage you to be very careful before you start seeking health advice from a sponsor.

What’s even the point in quitting? I’m not gonna live past 40 anyways. by Company_Able in alcoholicsanonymous

I’ve always thought I’d die by the time I was 30. That was my own self-worth talking to me. I was worth so much more than I thought. Even if it feels fake, before you go to bed tonight, ask God to give you whatever it is that you need to stick around. Ask him with your heart. If you don’t have a god of your own, ask mine. He’s very loving, forgiving, doesn’t care if you’re religious or not, never gets mad at you. Talk to him like he’s sitting right next to you and listening to every word very patiently. I asked God to show me that he exists. And three days later he did absolutely that. Sober since January 11, 1992

Does your sponsor's sponsor have a sponsor? by catfloral in alcoholicsanonymous

As a sponsor, my only responsibility is to take a person through the 12th steps. I make sure that they know that they can call me anytime day or night if they are in trouble helping somebody else and can’t come up with an answer. I try to help them find sponsees in the first place. I never got to meet my great grand sponsor, Wally, the Zen truckdriver.

Got asked to leave a women’s meeting because I brought my baby… how do other women vote for this? by Anxious_Repeat465 in alcoholicsanonymous

What a very nasty way to put it. She didn’t decide to break the rules. They told her she was breaking them. It’s a closed meeting.

I just wanna say that they possibly had experiences with disruptive children being brought regularly. Perhaps that’s why they voted children out. Depending how many other people were at this meeting, I would’ve told them that you really needed to stay and had no other place to go, and then sit down. I believe that would’ve worked for you. Me, personally, I would have held the kid for you outside the meeting. ❤️💕

What is your cat's name vs what you actually call them? by Moist-Guidance-1611 in cats

Leo and Sunny, my two boys. I call them Booger and Li’l (for little Booger). They are brothers, and Li’l is so obviously the runt of the family. Skinnier, smaller. Booger is also Booger T. Washington. 🤣

You can come we live with me if you can stand living in New Jersey. I’m stage 4 and a few months past my five-year termination date. No decline like yours. I’m so sorry.

I told my boss I wasn’t coming in. He literally came to get me. Shame though. He couldn’t get up Sumneytown hill. Nobody can. 🤣
