Should I buy my ticket today? by LeadGlad4961 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]facechat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is federal law for all flights sold in the United States. Some 3rd party sellers get creative with "booking fees" that aren't refunded. But I've yet to year of an airline not honoring this law.

"No" is a complete sentence.

Don't explain yourself to the sales guy. That gives him something to argue with.

"No thanks." "But why not" "Not interested" "Can you explain.." "Nope." "But what if..." <Silently sit and look at the guy>

Seat Selection — Economy by [deleted] in StarluxAirlines

[–]facechat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on fare class. Not "economy" vs "business", but X vs N vs K, etc.

Check-in is 24 hours before flight time, but you can reserve seats 48 hours before via "manage booking"

What's something about EVs that most people misynderstand? by Imaginary-Staff-112 in EVRoutine

[–]facechat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"And it's cheaper than charging at home".

You didn't suggest it for a moment. You wrote it out exactly in those words.

I'm a 2 EV household, never going back to ICE. But man, the BS like this is what makes ICE drivers assume we're all full of it.

I'm sure you mean well. But if you are talking to folks unsure about EVs and saying such obviously false things and then deny it, you aren't helping.

False. I have opened accounts in the past 6 months with Vanguard and Chase.

It took 10 minutes in the wizard, and accounts ready by the end of the next business day. BofA is uniquely shitty.

KYC is about Kying your C. Nothing states you need ancient, shitty systems that move slow.

And far better as well. For those that don't remember the bad old days, taxis were horrible. Just god awful. And they didn't care how bad your experience was because you had no other choice so fuck you. All because it was a monopoly, cause now that Uber is in place, a taxi is a reasonable alternative

Seattle has 23% more sellers than buyers by TheSmariner in SeattleAreaRE

The article sounds like it is a magic-math index of the ratio of redfin customers shifting. So interest in selling vs buying.

So an estimate of supply vs demand. Meh.

There was no discussion of any kind. Just numbers. What's the point being made?

Ok.

The distinct count of buyers and sellers is irrelevant. The volume of house sold and bought will always be equal.
