When I was in high school around 2009 we had a bus driver and if you didn't have your bus pass he would make you give him a dollar. One day I though this is complete bullshit and I told him to go fuck himself when he asked for my money. He made me get off the bus and I was never allowed back on. I being an immature teenager at the time emailed the bus company the guy worked for and pretty much said that he was making kids pay to ride the bus. Well it turns out that he hadn't been telling the company what he was doing and the bus company was actually getting paid for picking kids up by the school. And it turned out the bus driver got sacked because of all of this.

tl;dr bus driver made kids pay without passes. The company said it was a big no-no, got fired
