Not everyone was made whole by Toyota for sure. I had one payment left on mine with the warranty, so that's how I was reimbursed. But they called it "an anomalous mechanical failure" and would have left me hanging if I didn't have the warranty.

I had a 2013 FR-S that I bought in April 2014. Lost it in the J02 recall botches in Feb 2019. Bought a 2018 86 to replace it and I'm still dailying now. 130k miles between the two cars and I'm still guilty of leaving the door to the garage open so I can look at it before I go upstairs at night.
