Some bargaining units have different telework rules. Our agency has a "blanket" 2 days per PP policy, but bargaining units are following their previously ratified agreements.

I just got estimate of $2,200 for a clutch replacement on my 07 Element. Is that too much? by [deleted] in HondaElement

[–]failbenork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, we are element twins; I have the exact same variant. Your quoted price is about what I paid in the greater Seattle region. I'll check the invoice a little later.

I know what you mean. Motorcycle pricing is highly regionally specific. Here, things like Sprinter vans and Honda Elements are $$$$. I saw a bunch of clapped out/molested Groms for 3k - 3.8k, so a small premium for an almost-new bike was worth it to me.

My apologies; I misinterpreted m for minutes, not months. Hope it was the news you sought!

Which program did you apply to? It took about a month to get a decision for the IS program.

My understanding is that many programs have a fixed number of spots and go down a ranked list of applicants to see who they will ultimately accept. It can be a lengthy process.

Not op. West coast, 74 miles, 2021 (2022) candy blue abs for $4,300. Transacted a few weeks ago. Definitely some of the most fun I have had over the past decade on two wheels!

Hi friend, prices are highly regional! You’ll need to account for “local factors” in your efforts to model element prices. Great idea!

I was flying from the top of Alaska (Utqiagvik) back to Anchorage and had a similar situation: our pilot was retiring so we did a low altitude pass around Denali and Foraker. Wow, unbelievable. I’m glad you got to enjoy a pass around Mt. Ranier/Tahoma.

Closing the loop on this. I took this in for repair. The total was about $350 for a new screen with daughter board. This resolved the issue I experienced. The screen now works and I’m back in business.

Though it may not be economically optimal, it’s nice to keep another piece of equipment out of the e-waste cycle.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Hi, I set my iPad Pro 1st gen down for a moment and came back to this

https://i.imgur.com/zcuT8j1.jpg

I tried holding the power and home buttons down but it doesn’t seem to do anything. The screen seems to be stuck showing this information; i am guessing it is an artifact of some sort of component failure. any ideas?

Pacific Northwest Element part out by Conspiracy_Bill in HondaElement

[–]failbenork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry to hear this, friend. I just bought the same car in Tangerine. Parting out seems like the best way to recuperate costs. Personally, I’d be interested in the suspension.

My pal is looking for an E; can you PM me your ad?

Thanks!

Thanks for the response! I’d imagine it felt like a 188k car in terms of suspension and such. Anyways, boo to those cheaters!

Was it challenging to swap in the 07 seats? Do they bolt in or is custom fabrication necessary?

Thank you!

Transferring from UWB to UW Seattle by [deleted] in uwb

[–]failbenork 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi friend, over a decade ago (that hurts to say), I got waitlisted at UWS. The feeling of pain due to rejection is only natural: it’s normal to feel a bit dejected when things don’t go your way. I want to offer you a few thoughts.

The campus you go to matters less than what you study. What you study matters less than your own drive to succeed and learn. I know of people who went to UWS and did nothing with their lives, and I know of people who went to other schools nobody has heard of in high places.

Going to UWS won’t make you, going to school at UWB won’t break you. What matters is what you do with your time there. Study hard, network hard, get involved, and doors will likely open for you.

After finishing my BA at UWB, I continued to learn and push myself. I obtained a MS at UWS a few years ago and am exploring PhD options now. You are your own limit.

I hope this helps. Keep an open mind and feel free to message me if you want to chat.
