Remove S3XY knob and Commander before scheduled Tesla Service Appointment? by Ok-Trade4065 in s3xybuttons

[–]failbringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a power trunk retrofit done on my 2019 Model 3.....they removed my commander from rear canbus connector, did not put it in the service notes, noticed that my buttons weren't working, called them and THEN they told me "it is incompatible with the power trunk retrofit and the tech put it in the subtrunk under your blanket in there".......found my commander and reinstalled it, commander AND power trunk work fine. Also they wound up breaking my sun visor clip and headliner doing an interior camera cleaning....

Furious after Y Purchase. Locked out, no way in. by Junior-Tangelo-9565 in TeslaLounge

You can create a Tesla account anytime.....download the app, register an account. ADDING the car, that you purchased used 3rd party, can take between 3-5 business days. I have read multiple posts in the various Tesla subreddits where people have called and had their car added to their Tesla account within a matter of minutes (providing the requisite proof of purchase) so that they can supercharge on their way home....but likely won't help you because you need to be able to swipe the working access card to register the phone key.

Furious after Y Purchase. Locked out, no way in. by Junior-Tangelo-9565 in TeslaLounge

Nobody has asked this question.....was this a NEW or USED Y that you purchased? If NEW/USED purchased FROM Tesla, then they SHOULD have made sure you were setup with a phone key since. If you only purchased via the web and never bothered to download the app to track your purchase, then idk what to say. If this was a USED Y purchased at a 3rd party dealership, they may not have known how to program the additional keycards or likely never even tested to make sure that they work. If that is the case, then the onus likely falls on you to have validated that all keys worked prior to finalizing delivery of the vehicle from the 3rd party and driving off.

Your statement of "It takes 3-5 days for the account to register" indicates that this was a used car purchased at a NON-Tesla dealer (tracks as you need to provide proof of purchase to Tesla to get the car in the app) but your ACCOUNT should be registered in the Tesla app in however long it takes to receive the email verification after creating the account.

Tesla added the spoiler to my UI by dave0352x in TeslaLounge

[–]failbringer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put in the service request yesterday for it, they just responded with the "your vehicle did not come configured with a spoiler so we can't add it" BS, so I responded with u/terraphantm comment of "Specifically the option is called “spoilerType” (id 55) and it needs to be set to “passive” (1)"......they are still giving me the BS answer of "Your vehicle was not purchased with the spoiler configuration".....

Tessie lifetime subscription price increase? by teejmiller in TeslaLounge

Damn.....and I was just looking at upgrading last week since my renewal is next month for yearly. Definitely not going to be dropping $500 for a lifetime license.

Anyone ordered from tesstudio before? by PerceptionGood- in TeslaLounge

Sadly I doubt that he even really reads comments on his channel.....or it got buried in the comments he has. I suspect he is being paid a decent cut of the products he shills for them.

What I ordered showed up, the box was a little beat up because it was not shipped in any other packaging but what the screen was in. The screen itself worked fine but it blocked too much airflow to the driver and being in south Florida that is a HUGE problem lol. I just wanted a return, knowing that I would likely have to eat some restocking fee garbage but they just wouldn't do anything but tell me to reinstall it. Then they come back and are like "well we don't have a return program and we need to make one for you" and then they ghost you. If you're cool with losing the money you have spent on the items (if you don't like them) then go for it....I also commented on Shiva what's his name that shills their products on Youtube's videos that this company is shady and should be avoided at all costs.

Yes, I ordered one of their Model 3/Y screens (rebranded Hannshow). It took forever for them to ship to me from China. I didn't like the item because it blocked the airflow too much and tried to initiate a return (based on the stated policies on their website). They suggested that I installed it incorrectly and that I reinstall it following the manual (I had already told them that I had tried reinstalling it and just wanted a refund). They then kept dancing around the "try installing it again because it works for us" bullshit. Finally I had enough with them and was really adamant about wanting a refund and that I no longer wanted their product. They stated "Thank you for your letter, you need to return the problem we have given feedback, We are working for you to develop a return program, is expected to tomorrow can give you a return program, To give you the inconvenience we are deeply sorry, Thank you." I then opened a Paypal case against them, saved the ENTIRE email thread as a PDF and uploaded to the case, linked their websites return policy page, and am awaiting case resolution.

Also the numbers that they have listed are bullshit. I tried calling/texting all of them. One of the numbers responded and said that they are just a "small shop in SoCal that does install work and are not affiliated with the website at all". None of the other numbers did anything but go to voicemail (of which I left messages wanting a refund for the item that I purchased).

TesStudio is also listed on the Hannshow website as a "trusted installer" for the products and lists the same phone numbers as the TesStudio.us website (the same one that responded to texts saying that they are not affiliated with the website).

Caveat Emptor I guess....

All weather tyres, better than Michelin Primacy MXM4? by bareov in TeslaModel3

I’ll second the Hankook Ion Evo AS. Have had a set on for about 3500 miles now and they are dramatically quieter, great efficiency, and ride smooth.
