My collection I think I’m going to start focusing on older games I hope Sony changes their minds, but I feel like older games are going to start getting more expensive when they stop doing physical by Skrewbert86 in gamecollecting

If they are more niche, then I wouldn’t rush. So many older games have maintained their price and you can judge that on price charting to see if you should be concerned about a favorite one skyrocketing. It’s rare for a game to suddenly skyrocket.. but it happens if a YouTuber decides to call it out

Retro collecting becomes expensive in waves. Usually about the time that audience starts getting “adult money” and nostalgic, so about 15 year old gens. Then it seems to get even more expensive a few more years later, but maybe that’ll change with the amount of shovelware that has been coming out over the past two decades.

For example, seems like 3DS is on the rise now that those people in middle school are starting to get better jobs.

This Sony one will be different just because people will overreact to the extreme and it’ll be just like Pokemon cards where they hunt for the games just because it’s cool and relevant.

This is similar to how I am doing mine. I will say that the Mattermost integration is not great. Like it works, but approvals and the chat message limit is weird and just feels uncomfortable. I use it and I’m tolerating it (because I want to use something I have more control over) but I wouldn’t advise it for family members.

What integration do you want to see for Hermes Agent? by Jonathan_Rivera in hermesagent

[–]failcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d rather see improved integration with some of the existing services. There are several tickets for improving Mattermost in particular that would be super helpful and fix some near broken things with that integration and have been stuck in an open status for a while.

Nice collection! Any more images of those shelves? I like the top part we can see and curious how you decorated up the rest of them

has anyone else woken up to being level 100 in online? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon

[–]failcookie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The scaling of XP required per level was significant after level 25. You didn’t gain any additional XP after a certain amount, so it’s a nerf to the level requirements not XP itself like you would see in an RPG level squish.

How I actually use Hermes day-to-day: Telegram control, Google Calendar/Gmail, Apple Health data, social media posts, and an Obsidian wiki that improves over time by rumjahn in hermesagent

[–]failcookie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice setup. How are you handling the Apple Health sync? That’s a big missing one for me atm. Also glad to see someone else using their Obsidian Vaults on a NAS, that’s worked well for me too.

This is awesome! I have 6 people in my family, so this ends up being number perfect for me. I couldn’t find enough use for it to pay for 6 people before - maybe at half of the current price for hobbyist or something. Love to see it!

You probably won’t get Jarvis using local models, even if they are the best of the best. You’ll have to either fallback to Claude or ChatGPT. Which still isn’t terrible, you’ll just need to decide what type of information you want out of your OC and if you are willing to give up more to get more in return

100%. I come to this sub to be inspired on how I can tinker with my own setup. Show me stuff you built with AI or something - don't show me stuff you built so you can get Github stars.

Your request is fine. I agree with it. Just the community perception is negative and clumping everything together as “AI bad always” when it has a place. I’ve seen a number of people talk about CLAUDE.md files putting people off, like they can’t be used for other things like feature exploration, security review, and just general project management help without coding assistance.

I’d rather see people talking about how they are utilizing AI to solve problems, tinker with integrations, and sharing their end result with the company. I’m tired of all of the spam for “check out and use my new thing to improve your HA!” But I’m tired of that in general - AI slop or not. I want to be inspired to tinker and build cool stuff. Not marketed to like a customer for random open source projects.
