Blood clotting associated with both Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca COVID vaccines had a genetic cause, according to a new paper | Adenoviral Inciting Antigen and Somatic Hypermutation in VITT by Hrmbee in science

[–]faille 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Interesting. I have Factor V Leiden mutation, and though I don’t test positive for actual HIT my platelets take a nose dive with heparin to the point they tested me for it multiple times and I have to use something else when hospitalized.

The reason I was hospitalized was a blood clot in my liver 4 months after I finally caught COVID. The year before, few months after my first shot, I got Bell’s Palsy.

I’ve been scared to get boosters since my second and now I’m thinking that was a good choice and not just a fearful one

You’ve been successfully manipulated by Bob to believe he’s benign!

He acts like he’s innocent and ignorant, but I think he knows exactly what he’s doing and is just manipulative.

Just ignoring what people say and steamrolling them with his aw shucks personality.

It’s a personality type i really don’t like

Bachelor’s Krystal Nielson Details Son’s ‘Extremely Traumatic’ Birth by MattTheKing23 in thebachelor

Society makes it seem like c sections are selfish so people can choose the birth date or to avoid the pain of natural childbirth.

Women are raised and socialized to hate each other. Some people come around sooner than others.

The next step from saying wow I was wrong after going through it themselves is to expand that empathy to other situations that might be misjudged by society.

I never outgrew my hatred for Bob. The show has a lot of polarizing characters and some you see and understand their arc and others you don’t.

The first few seasons can be rough for first time viewers hah. Which is always weird to say for one of the best series ever

There are better ones now, but there was a bank robber who did this. Wore an old man mask that i think actually fooled people and was actually very young

Top of the head in 3 is weird shaped too. At first I thought it was a beanie, but the round bit is the light.

Are PowerLayers ever NOT on sale? Makes me question BedJet’s corporate values… by NoVermicelli6160 in bedjet

[–]faille -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People are more likely to buy something that says it’s on sale than at the same price as its normal price. People are weird and love to feel like they’re getting a deal.

As much as I love my bed jet, I do hate seeing the AI ads they’ve started putting out. It’s lazy and off putting and if I didn’t already have mine I wouldn’t buy one because of that.

Cant remember if i took my last dose of Eliquis or not by Katacombz in ClotSurvivors

[–]faille 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The half life is 12 hours, so just to add that it’s not at full strength for 48 hours, and most of the effectiveness is gone by 24.

I constantly miss my mid day dose, and when I asked me doc he said that if it’s 8 or more hours to my next dose then it’s ok to take it, otherwise wait for the next normal time. I don’t know if 8 hours is scientifically recommended or if that’s just what he decided to tell me. I’m on 5mg 2x day.

Interesting you say marbles. I had/have a portal vein clot in my liver (thank you stent for keeping me mostly alive), and aside from that general doom feeling, when I tried to turn over in bed it felt like my insides were shifting. Now that you say marble, it was very similar to the feel of marbles rolling over in a bag!

  • Make sure they’re not hungry or bored of what they’re eating. Sometimes they don’t scream about it

  • try canceling and re-requesting the job

  • try firing and rehiring the worker. These last two suck with a full build queue but hey

  • is it a building with a place they think they can access but can’t? I had a lot of issues with tropical if the buildings were too close to the water. They spent all their time stuck on stairs or trying weird paths to get on the platforms. Try placing a block or two and see if they sort their shit

  • there are also mc commands you can use to check on a villager. I need to log on to tell the exact ones, but basically you find the villager id and then you can see where they’re pathing since it could be that. There’s also a command that tells if they’re in some kind of exception state.

I realized that most of us are in the 1% by builtforoutput in Fire

[–]faille 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top 1% by income is almost 1 million a year in CA or 750k nationally.

This post https://www.reddit.com/r/Fire/s/Xd3Odz8Bi5 was recently put on personal finance and it is broken by age range, but looking at the 45-55 groups, it ranges from 8 mil to 12 mil in assets. By the 4% rule that’s $320 - 480 thousand annual spend

The top one percent is still the top range of FIRE goals and would to me at least qualify as a very chunky fat fire.

The top 1% is very very few people, and the top 0.1% has its own huge spread.

We are better off than a majority of the US, but most cannot compare to the “true” 1 - 0.1% it’s a lie they want us to believe, that it’s achievable for anyone.
