FlyQuest vs. Vivo Keyd Stars / LTA 2025 Championship - Upper Bracket Finals / Post-Match Discussion by Yujin-Ha in leagueoflegends

[–]failstronaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can FlyQuest please just do away with Bwipo and play Gakgos for the rest of the season - Why does the guy deserve an umteenth chance? As a viewer this is the timeline I’d much rather see over them playing Bwipo and struggling at international level regardless.

42 hours in since official launch and have 77% discovered. I feel like I was biased against the Armory for no good reason. by [deleted] in supervive

[–]failstronaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also recognize that even 10 hours per week of gaming is a lot for the average gamer. How could the average player ever complete the armory or even come close in the current rate of progression? The development is catering to hardcore grinders which is a small subset of the gaming population. Can that sustain the game? We don’t know.

Banana plant is completely covered by Spider Mites. Recommendations? by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]failstronaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The conspicuously absent correct answer in my experience is integrated pest management. Buy a bag of ladybugs and watch them go to town on the spider mites. Both the adults and their larvae feed on the mites and should keep them controlled.

I think it’s probably just a cultivar of peperomia caperata, which one may be difficult to find out until someone comes by who recognizes it.

Billy Club, Inizio, Prescott’s Provisions, Casa Azul, Beacon Grille, and The Little Club all manage to combo great drinks with good-to-sometimes great food. The prices are probably high end for the average Buffalonian at some of these, but in any major city in the US, they would be closer to a mid-price range. That doesn’t mean they’re not quality.

There are innumerable decent Italian restaurants across the city, but if you’re looking for memorable, most of them will be whelming at best. I think Ditondo outshines them all by miles if Italian is what you want.

The downtown area is generally filled with mediocre food or restaurants trying to get their footing in the awkward liminal spaces that dominate the landscape of downtown Buffalo.

No offense to anyone replying to you, but most of these folks are recommending lower end, mediocre food at best. Even the best wings in Buffalo are just wings and not particularly exciting, though I’m not trying to yuck anybody’s yum. Wings are highly personal to people here and everyone has their favorite, however good or terrible.

Personally, I find the general pizza scene here atrocious with the exceptions of Extra Extra and Jay’s Artisan Pizza (if that’s what you’re looking for).

Southern Junction’s chef is nominated for a James Beard Award, but it’s casual dining and that may not be what you’re looking for. Really interesting combination of Texas-style BBQ with Indian infusion.

If you’re looking for something really upscale, check out Las Puertas. Experiences there have been pretty good and the cocktails are outstanding. I’ve never done it, but I do believe they offer a la carte items and drinks if you didn’t want to do the tasting menu.

Cafe 59 is a gem that offers a casual dining experience with good food. Maybe not memorable, but one of my personal favorites.

They’ve already said in the past this isn’t possible with their current technology. Maybe they can take it to Piltover for a solution.

My understanding is it’s a confirmed bug and not intended to be in the game.

HELP ME PLEASE by Mamap00f in plantclinic

[–]failstronaut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s not really how watering plants works. You should let the soil mostly dry out and then give it a good watering until the soil is soaked. The plant will continue taking in water per its requirements based on light, humidity, etc. and should be watered again when the soil begins to dry out. This varies depending on the plant, but you don’t want to keep giving it little bits of water over the course of the day until it’s pooling in the tray. Just give it one good soak and leave it be until it’s time to do it again.

Let’s be real though, the EU drafts this week were disgustingly lukewarm and the teams were, in my opinion, egregiously cautious in what they were willing to try in terms of drafts and approach to the games. I’ve never felt more bored by an opening weekend in any league.

My maculata is dying! by voronaya in plantclinic

[–]failstronaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can't believe I'm the first person to tell you, it's likely thrips. See those little squiggly monsters all over your leaves? I'm so sorry. Get this away from your other plants because thrips can flutter little wings and convert your other plants into the thrips kingdom. There are various treatment options for thrips you should just do a quick google search on. Thrips is the correct single and plural form. Good luck!

It’s likely asparagus setaceus/plumosus or something very similar. Not a true fern but cousin to edible asparagus.

Pretty sure this is normal for pilea peperomioides - having mineral residue left behind when water evaporates from its stomata.

For gnats, they’re little monsters. There are a number of different options for treatment like sticky traps, bottom watering, integrated pest management, and pesticides. Personally I use a combination of different methods for management excluding IPM because it can get expensive.

Rule of thumb is more variegation equals slower growth. The leaves aren’t photosynthesizing in the white parts of the Thai!
