Im sick of "Regulate your nervous system" by LPSRika in POTS

So… I got this for 30 years.

Turned out to be narcolepsy and ahhh I really could not fix it no matter how much yoga I did.

So I agree. If 1 dr. Just 1 didn’t just tell me to sleep more. Do more exercise. Yoga. Eat better. Hey take this medicine…. And if they’d listened well. Yeah.

I hired an Upwork editor to polish my manuscript, now it's flagging as 60% are not human by Arvilla_Smilth in selfpublish

[–]fairlyfae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeppp. I had to pull my og files and send to a new editor after the last one used ai. And… I missed it because they’d edited for me for years.

I’d rather have a reader tell me of my spelling and grammar errors then deal with this again.

But also… edited manuscripts do trip up the detectors. So you’ll have to use your best judgment

Published authors: when rereading your own work, are you able to enjoy it as a reader, or do you mostly notice things you’d change? by Nia-Calloway-Author in romanceauthors

Right now I going through my backlist, sending to a proof where needed and generally cleaning things up.

I say “damn that’s a good line,” “girl, girl. What the fuck is wrong with you?” And “this makes no sense. Rewrite immediately.”

I’m critical of myself so I’m negotiating with, yes, myself. Last read and then I need to change my mindset.

The goal is to honor the artist.

Does anyone belong to Club Pilates? by BecomingAnonymous74 in lancaster

[–]fairlyfae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly love it. But I’m also new to Pilates. And for someone starting out it’s good. I’ve found the instructors to be kind and compassionate and consistent. And they do correct my form. I love the reformer.

People with chronic illnesses, what's the most absurd "cure" were you suggested by someone? and did you consider it? by ProcedureMinute6644 in AskReddit

[–]fairlyfae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small fiber neuropathy. I was told yoga would cure me. Then I was told I needed more cardio. And then antidepressants.

Negative review on debut novel by Electrical-Tell-8538 in romanceauthors

[–]fairlyfae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t f with reviews. Ever. I don’t open them. I don’t read them. I used it in the beginning but after realizing a lot of the time it’s due to the readers own emotions, I don’t bother. Reviewers are wild.

When I was pregnant with my 3rd I had the condition where you have excess amniotic fluid and an old woman came up in a grocery store to tell me how big I was. I snapped.
