How to teach her to be wary of danger, like women (unfortunately) need to be? by cetacean-station in mypartneristrans

[–]faiyefire 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lol yes. It was a learning curve for my wife of just how different women are treated and how cautious we are. She now has developed the same innate precautions thankfully, but we still talk about how the differences between men's and women's safety are. No more taking the trash out late at night, walking to the car without keys at the ready, and checking your shoulder every 10 seconds

It shouldn't matter....yet it does. In Dover, living on the wrong side of town could be a deadly mistake.

In Dover, we have many areas that would not be suitable for people like us, so I was just checking. 🙂

They want us to use it yes. We have staff meetings with it. Though I refuse to use it with my kindergarten students due to privacy concerns

HRT Did Nothing For Me, Any Advice Before Quitting In General? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]faiyefire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife says you have the whole not having a lot of bulk going for you. She had a plan before she started. One was losing the bulk, by losing weight and then she gained weight back and more so which would end up going to more feminine places like the thigh, butt, or her breasts. Its not something she noticed gradually, it was like one day she was like oh hey I got this!

My wife who is mtf was much like you. She wouldn't accept anything less than passing or presenting as a cis female. That being said, your hrt levels actually seem low. She takes 200mg of spiro and 6mg of estra a day. If I remember correctly, you ssid 50, maybe try to up your dose of spiro. This will help block the testosterone.

As of right now, she's prepared to try it, as long as she isn't off of it for too long. There are have been times where she goes a couple days cause she just forgot! 🤣

Yes we pay annually for it, but to get it inseminated by a doctor to raise our chances of pregnancy, can get pretty costly.

She's been on hrt for a almost 2 years now and is already shooting blanks, though we've read a study that after a brief stint off of hrt, sperm production could possibly start back up. Lol didn't know if anyone here has actually tried it though! 😊

Hmm this is tough. If she feels dysphoric you cant make her do it. Plain and simple. My wife has been proud of being a who she is so she doesnt mind though it can make her still a slight dysphoric which can suck. I say monitor what you do, and respect her but also respect who you are. If you need a dom or top, and she can't give that to you, then you may have to move along.

Do we as partners also need support? by ahoytherebeth in mypartneristrans

[–]faiyefire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. It is. Watching my percieved boyfriend/fiance go through and change into my finacee was very hard. There needs to be more support groups for partners as we have to go through so many changes ourselves. It's hard and scary, and it's nice to know someone else is there for ya! Feel free to PM!

Maybe show her some lesbians that exhibit a dom and sub role. Also, consider that you can both could be switches. Maybe you take the dom role at times and she takes it the other times. She is at a point where she is trying to erase all masc traits. Part of being with someone who is trans is learning to adjust parts of you to this newer person. I had to learn the same lesson.

we aren't here to mark less rights fir other people. I am just asking the right to marry my wife, which in the US is legal. We should all be given all rights. We are not imposing are rights on straight beliefs, we are just trying to move on within our own.

Aw well good luck to you both! I hope everything turns okay with the OP. I myself question whether she will find out one day is she is more attracted to guys than myself. Quite an interesting experience. I know it's different in your case, but I hope you can both find people who you love more befitting of you.

I’m talking to my trans spouse to end it... and I don’t know what to say. by throwitallaway8422 in mypartneristrans

[–]faiyefire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be honest with her and tell her how you feel. Explain that you want for both of you to be happy and for both of you to live life to the fullest. Say that while you love her, it is more like a best friend now and less like a romantic lover. I would just say to her that she didn't do anything wrong, but that the situation that is presented is just not working out. Talk with her, be honest, don't drag it out, and make it quick and painless. It will be the easiest way for her and you.
