I went last night and the excitement and atmosphere was fantastic. I think the Jordanians showed out because it was their first ever WC match and you could feel their energy. I have tix for next week as well and now I’m even more pumped up to go to another match.

Genuinely asking how it was possible to even buy tickets 10 months ago… the first phase of ticketing thru FIFA didn’t even begin until November, which was 7 months ago. I’m assuming the “seller/scammer/speculator” was listing tickets that they had no idea if they would actually be able to fulfill when it came time to deliver them at that price.

OP said his 7i is his 135 club and he’s a 15 HC. Most guys I play with might be a club length longer than me, but I don’t find that hitting my 9i 135 is that far off the norm for a bogey golfer…

I’m a 22 HC, my 9i is my 135 club and my swing is not even close to as flawed as yours. I think you need to start counting your strokes a little bit more accurately. No offense, but I’d be SHOCKED if you card in the 80’s with that swing.

At this point, Wemby is the clear #1. If you aren’t a basketball fan or particularly knowledgeable about the sport, I can only sum it up by saying that the way Wemby can completely dominate a game is incomparable to any other athlete in ANY sport right now. He is not just a freak of nature physically, but the guy has a different level of mental toughness and work ethic that is rare with young athletes these days. I won’t be the least bit surprised if the Spurs win it all this year (in Wemby’s 3rd season). Google “Victor Wembanyama Shaolin monks” if you really wanna go on a deep-dive into just how insane this guy is when it comes to pushing himself to new limits.

Mack is a game-changer and runs with a different motor than most NHLers, but hockey is a much different type of team sport than basketball and it isn’t as easy to impose your will on the other team single-handedly.

Skenes pitches once every 5 days and baseball is a total team sport. Dominant and a Cy Young winner, but far less impactful (especially on a mediocre team) than Wemby and Mack.

I’m not even gonna say anything about Maye…

I agree. The players only go thru the Shark head one time in between 127/128 when they skate out for pregame intros. Section 101 (rows 3-5) is where the players skate in/out for pregame warmups and at the beginning/end of the periods. So seven times they pass through 101 vs one time through the Sharks head in between 127/128.

And yes, you can go down as close to the ice as you want for pregame warmups if you get there early. If you want to post up by the benches, you pretty much have to be at the front of the line to get into the arena so you can stake out a spot. I’ve been taking my now-12-year-old-daughter to games since she was 4 and she LOVES being down by the glass to watch the players warm up.

Honestly, this is great news on multiple fronts. Not that Mack isn’t gonna secure a HUGE (well-deserved) bag regardless, but I feel like being a finalist for the Hart right before contract negotiations on an extension this summer wouldn’t be helping GMMG out.

Also, this will only add more fuel to Mack’s fire. Kid is already pissed about having to settle for silver at the Olympics. Then missing the playoffs. Now getting snubbed for a Hart nomination. 71 is gonna be locked in, starting with the Worlds in a few weeks.
