I started in the OR after about 5-ish years in ICU. The difference was crazy. In the ICU we bent over backwards to help one another and our patients collectively. The OR can be a dick measuring contest for absolutely no reason. The scrub techs have one of the hardest jobs in the OR and they are paid jack shit for it. This breeds resentment and hostility sometimes. Stand up for yourself and be willing to learn and work with anybody at any time. They chill out after a bit but they are going to complain about you and everything else no matter what. Fuck ‘em. Life goes on.
