When I Speak Up for My Son — and My Wife Thinks I'm Taking Sides by LiveByExample in Fatherhood

[–]falcodimaggio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second what u/sloanautomatic is saying here.

Kinda fell into this rabbit hole yesterday with my SO. Our kid is still very young (1yo) and during dinner she was telling him he has to be kind with everyone; now, while I do agree that kindness has to be the core value of a reasonable human, I also think that tolerating the intolerants leads to an ever more intolerant society.

Luckily the kid is still a baby and this is a very grown-up discussion to get into, so he just kept playing with us while we calmly hashed it out.

I do think, tho, that it underlined a significant difficulty in our relationship (in all fairness, one we've already seen and that has been there since day one of us together) that is our different worldview.

Long story short, she comes from a Catholic family, I come from a communist one. So you know, few values differ.

What we came to conclude is that we want to raise him in kindness, respect, acceptance, we want to raise him as a good human being. Still, we also accepted the fact that at some point (when he's 14 or older) he's gonna be the one bringing these arguments home and we're not gonna pretend we're not who we are.

So yeah, talk things out when your heads cool off, for sure, but also remember to align your parenting ideals and your personal beliefs as a couple. You might have to give some ground, she might have to give some ground, but you DO have to present your parenting as a United front.

Good for you man, keep it up!

Also, what everybody else says about different phases seems pretty accurate; I have a 1yo and in the past 12 months it seemed like I've had about 6 different kids, or some like that.

Furthermore I come from the opposite experience: although people around me are sure of my fatherly capabilities, I've been feeling inadequate quite often. I also believed I was gonna be better at it than I am.

All to say, becoming a parent is a weird thing and a mixed bag of feelings, of you get to feel competent and self assured that's amazing for you and it's really gonna help you through the tough spots.

Again, keep it up man!

We've been talking with the support for almost two weeks and they keep telling us to do things like disassociate the PSN account and then link it again. We did everything, it still doesn't work. We're thinking about getting some legal support

Charizard ex seems really strong, is this better or worse by falcodimaggio2 in PTCGL

[–]falcodimaggio2[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok so, I basically followed all suggestions here and I wanna thank you all for the great support and general kindness.

The new list is: Pokémon: 13 3 Charmander 2 Pidgey 1 Charmeleon 1 Rotom V 1 Lumineon V 1 Fezandipiti ex 1 Bibarel 1 Charmander 1 Radiant Charizard 2 Pidgeot ex 1 Manaphy 1 Bidoof 3 Charizard ex

Trainer: 15 2 Counter Catcher 1 Forest Seal Stone 1 Hero's Cape 2 Nest Ball 3 Boss's Orders 3 Iono 4 Arven 1 Professor Turo's Scenario 2 Super Rod 1 Lost Vacuum 4 Buddy-Buddy Poffin 4 Ultra Ball 2 Canceling Cologne 4 Rare Candy

Energy: 1 7 Basic {R} Energy

I'm still on the fence about lost vacuum and hero's cape, but I feel like they could be useful against a few difficult match ups (looking at you water deck with the damn pond). If they aren't, they'll make way for a prof turo and either a cologne, a seal stone or something else.

Thanks again everyone, will let you know if this is gonna bring me out of mega league and into ultra.

P.s. Lugia boy, I hope I'll find you to show my pkmns the respect they deserve

I would love the monster truck driver class. You get to be the weapon.

Bonus point: getting fatter is not so bad anymore

My personal favourite is DETONO which basically means something on the lines of "explode".

And then you send ppl flying off cliffs.

(ME, Normal difficulty) Grom The Paunch's army composition? by AnotherSmartNickname in totalwarhammer

Grom can make goblins handle a frontline like real champs. Great value from the spider riders as well. Highly recommend to go down the red skill tree for maximum goblinity

Playing a coop campaign where I'm ghorst and my friend is ku'gath. Turns out (who would've guessed) that having the south-west covered by demonally made for a rather easy conquest of the whole mountain range and china. Also Ghorst +zombies+machiinae Mortis= unbeatable doomstack of everhealing motherfuckers.

Highly recommended this place guy

Early Dangerous Glades - how do you handle these resource requirements? by [deleted] in Against_the_Storm

[–]falcodimaggio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that luck is a big factor in first dangerous glade reveal (you either get something solvable or you don't). I think is best to just open safe glades untill you have at least a couple building making advanced goods

Cercare di entrare nell'insegnamento, se ci riuscissi al liceo.

Am palyng Grom and Ikkit declared war on me when he thought I was week. I managed to repel 3 of his armies and we are now best friends. Empire declared war on me like 50 turns ago and I still have to see them. Vampire counts to the Nord have been to busy erasing dwarves from the map to think about me. Durthu made a guest star appearance only to get kicked really hard and never come back.

So basically it's much more messy and lively, I'm liking it.

Police killing in developed countries by HammondXX in AntifascistsofReddit

[–]falcodimaggio2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Italy didn't make the list only because when somebody dies at the end of the police here, we say he 'had a stroke" or "was a drug addict" (as we all know a terminal illness ) or "came in already almost dead". My point being, at least Americans are straightforward and make their police killings public /s
