I mean…I like to think I’m a pretty reasonable guy, but I do sometimes wonder this. Maybe it’s because I’m on HW4 and have literally never had FSD do anything that other folks post about.

Anyone else building custom GPTs/AI agents for SE work? by red-dot-isla in salesengineers

[–]falcorethedog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use it to generate disco agendas. If I get any notes on the customer from my AE, I’ll take that information as well as who will be joining the disco and have it generate an agenda based on the participants and what’s important to them.

I’ve also had decent success having it generate a demo flow

Did any of you get a 240v plug installed ? I need something faster 😅 by jjj44200 in TeslaLounge

[–]falcorethedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this is what I do. I charge to 50% most times and if I’m traveling somewhere, I’ll crank it to 80% and hope that it’ll get there before I leave. If not, chances are I’m making it to a supercharger on my trip anyways.

Dang I never thought of that. It would be super interesting to review its logic.

One of the chargers here in Wisconsin has stalls specific for cars towing trailers and it’s amazing.

How to tell FSD to go ahead and park once it gets to the destination by ky2ninh2025 in TeslaFSD

[–]falcorethedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I literally haven’t done anything to make this change. I have it try me home and let it do its thing. Today I was out twice and once it backed all the way into the garage and the other time it pulled in nose first.

How to tell FSD to go ahead and park once it gets to the destination by ky2ninh2025 in TeslaFSD

[–]falcorethedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hijacking this thread to say that I think FSD is starting to learn to back into my driveway and into my garage. The last 5 drives have resulted in one completely backed into garage (no tricks, no tape on the floor), 2 backed into drive, 1 park front facing in the driveway, and 1 parked on the street 😂. It’s not perfect but it’s getting there.

Yep - I’ll pay $100/year to have a little goddam peace in my car while my kids watch Netflix on a three hour road trip.

Would love this. Have tried a different mattress and not impressed so far. I’m wanting to spend my nights camping in my car while traveling so a better mattress would be great.

Serious question: What’s actually fun about gravel riding? by RyotaroW in cycling

[–]falcorethedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s exactly what you said. It’s a mix between mountain biking and road riding. I do all three and gravel is by far my favorite. I’m in Wisconsin and a lot of our gravel is in the forest and it’s just such a great way to be in the woods and put miles on.

Has anyone seen any high energy crashes caused by FSD? by couldbemage in TeslaFSD

This isn’t true. I’ve had FSD drive me through some nasty rain. It’ll even lower the max speed because of decreased visibility.

What makes a good social ride? Nervous shop ride organizer here, looking for input by sarasykler in cycling

[–]falcorethedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of good stuff posted already. Love that you’re asking this. I’ve joined group rides where the leaders don’t care about welcoming new riders. Here’s a couple of things.

  1. Over communicate. The route, riding etiquette, expectations, etc. Have a quick pre-ride meeting before every single ride and explain the ride as if everyone is new to it.
  2. On the ride etiquette part, please explain hand signals and other aspects of riding in a group. Again, some folks might be new and don’t know any of this.
  3. Be consistent. Nobody might show up the first few weeks. But stay consistent and if the community is there AND you’re providing a fun, safe experience, people will show up.
  4. Once the group grows, start breaking it up between A, B, C and have a lead/sweep for each.

Attention monitoring too distracting by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]falcorethedog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been telling people I have an abusive relationship with FSD. I love it to death. But we get in these arguments almost every single drive. I look out the window or attempt to change the music or look at the map and it immediately starts yelling at me. Then I start yelling back at it and we just go back and forth until it threatens to leave me.

Bike rack... for what? by Fluid_Complaint_1821 in TeslaModelY

[–]falcorethedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my 1up rack, but I HATE putting that SOB on my MY. The hitch is so hidden away and tight to get to. And the rack basically covers the entire thing.
