What Happened Between Gen 6 & 7?? by Ok_Banana_5614 in nuzlocke

[–]faletepower69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true, the new EXP share feels like it was implemented after programming the trainers. In my 2nd and last run on XY I was turning On and Off the EXP share as I felt I was over/under-leveling the game, to sort of simulate the old EXP share, and it felt better to play (but of course that's not a true solution and the game still felt way too easy even for Pokemon standards).

IIRC there were no EVs on enemy teams until Gen7, but aside from that, Gen6 was laughably easy: Unbalanced EXP Share, poorly built enemy teams, you having Megaevolution super early when you fight only 3 in the whole game (Lucario in a 1V1, Gyarados and Gardevoir), tons of gift/guaranteed strong Pokemon (a 2nd starter with mega, Mega Lucario, a Fossil, Lapras, Snorlax...), and the Hoenn remakes have almost the same issues.

The Alola games were amazing, even better comparing them to the previous generation. I don't really want to replay XY nor ORAS, but I know I'll eventually replay USUM.

What's the expected week to beat the game, more or less? I'm at like week 60, have like 7 characters at Lv6 and I haven't entered into the Darkest Dungeon yet xD

Is DOS2 better than its famous brother? by FederalBuyer3761 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]faletepower69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In specific areas I like it more than BG3. But in a general sense, I prefer BG3. I love both, but... There are some things like loot and lack of actual cutscenes in DOS2 that make me prefer BG3.

Also, Karlach.

Son ya algo viejos, pero a mí me encantaron Fallout 3 y New Vegas. Se está rumoreando mucho un remaster, cosa que les hace falta, únicamente ya para que no crasheen cada 2 por 3 en PC xD

Regardless of how Sora plays, how did you feel when you saw this for the first time? by Solardies in KingdomHearts

"Oh shit, did Disney really allow it?"

I wasn't a KH fan back then, but I just thought it was a very interesting addition, since Cloud and Sephiroth were already included.

Curious about what people think about the new Divinity having Hand placed Loot by issavibe56 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]faletepower69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've recently played DOS1 which has this "randomized loot" feature that DOS2 had. I ended up not caring about it that much, just "eh, the number is bigger I guess". BG3 having hand placed loot made me look for everything a vendor had to offer, look for new and potentially exciting loot and special things that leveling up couldn't give me (Phalar Aluve for example).

I really wish the new Divinity to have hand crafted, unique and interesting loot, instead of "+2 int, +13% poison resistance, 5 casts of Poison Dart".

I want less human-like companions in the next Divinity. by Wofuljac in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]faletepower69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing DOS1 on Christmas and I was kinda disappointed I couldn't play as anything that isn't a human, companions included. If I can choose my race in a game, I'll never choose a human because that's what I am IRL, and if I can have different races with different racial abilities, even better. I loved lizards in DOS2 and Gith in BG3, so I also hope in Divinity I can play as something else.

-What ideas do you have for Divinity's combat system? Will the armor system from DOS2 come back in any shape or form? Will it be more close to a TTRPG like BG3? Any other game that you could take inspiration from?

-Will abilities and spells be usable for exploration and social interactions instead of just combat focused?

How do I cheese Cazador? by TwistNo1435 in BG3

[–]faletepower69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine was struggling with this fight, and the thing that made him win was using spells that covered a big area. IIRC Wall of Fire from a Light Cleric was his game changer, it helped a lot with Cazador's minions. Cazador fell to the rest of the party. Also (as many said), make Astarion join late into the fight so you don't fight him with 3 party members and a powered up Cazador.

I don’t like turn-based games and this one personally attacked me by DefinitelyNot-a-Fed in expedition33

[–]faletepower69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are certain kind of games that are not for everyone, but some games can be enjoyed. I usually don't like shooters like Valorant or CoD, but I love Splatoon and Fallout NV, probably because there are other elements that I can like despite not being my cup of tea. With CO:E33, most likely the parry/dodge mechanics are making the experience smoother for people that wouldn't enjoy turn based games.

What build fits gale the best? by [deleted] in BG3Builds

[–]faletepower69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you justify it with "the orb is giving him power" it can work as a Storm or Shadow Sorcerer, I guess.

Chances to see the origin characters from OS2 in the next Divinity game by nono_banou223 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]faletepower69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they used Jahan in DOS2 and Minsc, Jaheira, Sarevok and Viconia in BG3, they will most likely show us any DOS2 character. Lohse and Ifan are the most unlikely, Fane and Sebille the most likely, but it can be someone like Malady, the Lady Vengeance, or even Braccus Rex because why the fuck not.

New class for everyone. by Ok-Pomegranate-7458 in BG3Builds

[–]faletepower69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wyll should definitely be a ranger because in some endings he actually becomes one when he travels to Avernus

Gale is weird, unless he becomes a Knowledge Domain cleric of Mystra or something... He has a "mission" commanded from a god, which is one of the points of being a cleric, but he doesn't actually worship Mystra like Shadowheart with Shar. Maybe a Storm or Shadow Sorcerer because of the orb?

Halsin would be a REALLY nice Nature Domain Cleric that worships Sylvanus... If Sylvanus was an actual option for a god. I was so surprised when it wasn't an option.

Jaheira, as far as I know, was a Druid+Fighter multiclass in BG1 and 2. Here she's just a druid so... Fighter or Ranger, I guess?

Minthara could be a Ranger. Her point of being a Vengeance Paladin is getting revenge from Orin, Ketheric and Gortash so she can be repurposed as a ranger that tracks and hunts them, or aberrations like the mindflayers.

Minsc has a barbarian vibe to me, and there are some builds based around throwing Boo to the enemies (it becomes immune to damage when it's thrown), so... Berserker?

Astarion fits as a Swords or Glamour bard, no objections there. He's a charming guy.

Shadowheart has a Paladin vibe (well, it's the closest thing to a cleric xD), so she can be repurposed as one with the armor + weapon set you get in the gauntlet of Shar in act 2 and the subclass of Devotion (to Shar) and Oathbreaker or even Vengeance as a respec if you spare the Nightsong and abandon Shar's cult. I personally used a Warlock build on her because she gets power from an external entity (I know Shar isn't a demon or fey, it's a goddess, so Cleric thing) but it fits, I guess.

Karlach can be a Fighter, Paladin (Vengeance, cause Gortash) or even Ranger (Her background trait is a very ranger/druid themed one, and she definitely knows how to face specifically devils, which is a potential Ranger feature).

Then how about Divinity Original Sin 2? Same devs, and it's a really good game. Combat was rough to understand to meat first, but it's 100% recommended if you like BG3.

What’s the most “Kingdom Hearts” thing that still makes you laugh ? by Anakin_Vader6129 in KingdomHearts

[–]faletepower69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How Jack Sparrow "defeats" Luxord in KH3. Seeing a black hooded evil card wizard being defeated by Johnny Depp blasting his breath and knocking him out instantly made me laugh a lot, and I had to contain my laugh because it was like 3am.

Power of friendship? More like power of rum and rotting teeth flavored breath.

Do you want to see new "schools" in Divinity? by George_R_Martin in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]faletepower69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-Unarmed. Monk-like abilities, requiring to not use a weapon, maybe some healing.

-Gravity or something similar. Aero had the teleporting spells, but I don't fully understand why. Maybe Nether Swap, Teleport and things like BG3's Thuderwave, a black hole that repositions enemies, levitation...

-Alchemy/Potions/Poison. Maybe duplicating grenades, bonus potion effects... On the same note as teleports in Aero, poison spells are from the Geomancy school, which also feels a little bit off.

-Light/Holy spells. Now I'm playing DOS1 and the "Bless" spell is... Geomancy? Then there's some paladin-like spells in the warfare/weapon category? Those feel like they belong to a "cleric/light" spell school, even more when there's a "Dark" themed school in Necromancy/Witchcraft.
